I think looking back is pre a mistake to 3b with this hand. But what do we do on the flop and turn?

5/5€ 500€ deep

utg+1 and 2 limp

L/j r 30€

I 3b with 43 to 100€ to pick up the 50€ pot pre flop. or play a 3b pot ip vs not a great player. He calls. And HU to the flop

Pot=220€, 400€ behind

Flop:56K

Hero?

Betting ~ half pot almost always. Yawn. Turn depends heavily on villains reaction to flop LDO.

Also, your pf play is fine.

OP doesn't even post what position he is in. He says he is trying to play in position but then action seems to be on OP first after the flop. There are no reads whatsoever aside from one of the 5 players that has already put money in the pot is "not a great player" (at LLSNL, who woulda thunk it?). Not sure how this can be analyzed.

This is such a ridiculous spew pre I can’t even.. like why man you’re going to get some kind of better hand in the next 3 minutes this is just so unnecessary and the 100 BB stacks just make it so much worse.

As played, bet $80. You got one of the best flops you’ll ever see short of two ’s out there. Kxx + OESD + BDFD as the 3bettor.

Definitely need to double barrel here regardless of whether a rolls off or not. Stacks are too shallow to ever need to voluntarily play this hand but at least a turn barrel will imply a river shove in villain’s mind and force him to fold most underpairs. Aces and queens are great barrel cards as well in case he puts you on that.

Really hate these “what do I do now that I butchered preflop” posts. Like work on your fundamentals and you’ll never be in this spot unless ****ing around at a home game.

When you 1/3 or 1/4 in 3b pots, in theory AND in practice out opponents have to defend much wider and therefore when they do, we have more profitable dbl barrels. He cant just call Kx otf, he’ll have a lot of underpairs that defend flop vs a super small sizing and are forced to fold ott.

If we bet like 1/2-2/3 otf, i dont like a jam tho
