Ironically, playing oop gets easier when spr decreases (ie in 3-bet pots). You'll still be losing money in average on that spot, but villain won't show as much of a profit.

Stack sizes and villain's tendencies are important for how you want to construct your 3-bet ranges. If villain is calling a lot of 3-bets and floating often on flops, then 3-bet a value heavy range (forget hands like 78s) and plan to double barrel.

In much deeper stacked games, you have to make sure you have hands like TJ in your 3-bet range so it's much harder for villain to outplay you when the flop does come TT4. That's not as much of a concern in shallower games because villain won't flop trips often enough to profit from the times he doesn't hit it.

I would probably 3-bet to 80 pre-flop, then bet 1/2 pot on flop.
Turn gives us additional outs, we should be barreling that for sure, you get all middle pocket pairs to fold with a 1/2 pot sized bet.
Check give up on river un-improved.

dude came to a poker forum for constructive criticism to improve his poker game. "remember the action" is constructive criticism.

White knight posts about perceived slights towards others is not constructive, which means its just criticism, which would mean you are the one being rude.

This post is to explain the purpose of the poker forums, i hope the criticism was constructive for you.

^ just lol. You think im being rude for calling someone out for berating OP condescendingly and calling him a "regfish" among other things? What, is he your boyfriend or something? Go get a room

No, it wasnt constructive for me. Your criticism was not in the slightest helpful. Im not the type to call people out, so when I do it's saying something. In fact thats the first time I called someone out on 2+2. Yeah I know that 2+2 isnt known to be nice, but there comes a point where it's crossing the line. Condescending posts like those would discourage people from asking for help on the forums. It's like reaching your hand out to someone for help and then them humiliating you.

Well sure, sometimes those who are brutally honest are far more motivated by the brutality than the honesty, but sometimes it's quite the opposite.

Either way, such language tends to elicit a reaction which in some cases may discourage, others encourage no matter what the true motivation was behind it.

Minator you say "lol" a lot with Posts and to me that is a lot more rude/condescending

I thought it was a little nitty to call him out for it but not rude. Your overreaction is what caught me off guard.

I never claim to b an expert at poker. But I stomp the living sht out of 2/5...have taught many others how to do the same. Sorry if your feelings were hurt. But thicken up yer skin just a little bit.

Every thing I said was 100% honest and sometimes the truth hurts.

This is a 3! pot where a lot of HIS chips went in to the center. And the op is unsure of the action. THIS IS A PROBLEM. In fact this problem is most likely causing many other problems

Fact is if you cant even get a HH correct it means you are lacking focus
Poker is a game of incomplete knowledge
missing pieces to an already incomplete puzzle is a massive leak

u need to be able to do simple addition and subtraction before you can do algebra

Certain skills are mandatory.
IMHO knowing precise action is mandatory
many are too lazy to do this
I thank them 4 that

^ Why would my feelings be hurt if your comments were directed at someone else? That makes no sense at all. I was just pointing out that a post like that, 4 paragraphs of berating OP in a condescending manner and having like one or two relevant sentences to help improve his game, was out of line

"Being able to stomp the living ****" out of 2/5 isn't that great of an accomplishment. The skill level of 2/5 is extremely low. And just because you can doesnt mean you should be condescending towards others that can't.

What's worse the posters saying "lol" then telling you their idea or putting at the beginning or their sentences or constructively criticizing somebody for free on a huge leak? I'll admit, I have even done the "lol" thing, but I try to not do it, and I often remove/edit it out if I can remember to.

Get real.

Well, I'm a college student and I always use a lot of slang when typing. Something my generation uses a lot over text. I dont think I mean to use it in a rude way.

And ^ that question is obviously very subjective, and you obviously favor one over the other. But I'd say the former is worse.

"It's like reaching your hand out to someone for help and then them humiliating you."

- Minator

Then something goes like this, i played xx hand like this and what do you think.

Somebody replies "lol!!! 3-bet pre!"

That's not humiliating somebody while they reach their hand out?

And, yes, however blunt the criticism is, I'm very fine with most of it, but when you add the laughing, I think you are now laughing at said player for not being as good as you, and I think it is a little out of line. Sometimes it's even more out of line than others.

Especially if said person is writing short answers consistently and saying "lol".

I'm less worried about somebody who applies strong reasoning behind their posts.

Done with the topic though, I feel ashamed to take time away from OP's question.

That's a lot of wrong assumptions going on from me just saying a slang term that I use all the time with my friends. My generation grew up with it and way overuses it over text.

I'm not using it as a term to laugh. It's just a term and that's it. If it really does bother posters here, then I would try to refrain from it.

If I laughed at everyone that's not as good as I am, I'd be laughing at almost the entire LLSNL forum. I don't. And if that were true, then I'd be saying more than just "lol" if I were arrogant as you say

I am. There's just a whole lot of wrong assumptions in your post.
Let's not hijack OP's thread then.
