1-3NL Aria Friday evening 11pm hero doubled with FD\SD and gii vs flopped set couple orbits ago only been at table for under an hour.
V1 300 MAWG likes to open pf but fit or fold mostly post
V2 650 older Asian man plays too many hands pf but can make laydows, should have a strong 3bet calling range, but prob not QQ-AA since no 4bet
Hero:750 T8

OTTH:
UTG and UTG+2 both limp and they have been limping their mediocre hands V1 makes it 17, V2 calls, Hero T8 in C\O looks like BTN is gonna fold and there is 44 in pot, so we make it 55 folds around to V1 who tanks for a bit and folds but V2 gets sticky and calls 55.
Flop(137)A87
V2 checks, Hero?

Notes: I do not normally 3bet T8, but based on table conditions people playing passively wanting to see flops without putting too much money in and there being a reasonable amount to steal (44) and the btn was gonna fold make it look like a good 3bet spot.

Your 3bet is way too small and V1 is way too shallow to be 3betting light.

AP check.

Seems like an ok spot for a squeeze but you should make it bigger. 3x the original raise is too small and gives too good of a price. If I'm squeezing here it is to take it down preflop not to give attractive odds to someone to call and get sticky later.

I think I b/f this flop about half pot, our hand is not likely to win at showdown and I don't think we get c/r bluffed much.

Bet flop strong/fold to raise. If called check unimproved turn.

B/f 60 here, if called continue with equity (heart/bds) otherwise check back and eval river.

Whoops I thought we flopped a flush draw here.

I like betting $50. Fold out some overs equity and get value from worse.

V2 has some Aces in his range AK,AQ and maybe AJ and AT since the 3bet was small we are deep and he can be sticky. If I make the 3bet 75-80 AT, and some AJ's fold. He can also have 99-JJ all hands I would love to fold out when I have 8's.

Hero 700 T8
Pot 137 board A87

Action: V2 checks Hero bets 125 V2 Calls
Turn(387):6
V2(475) Checks, Hero(575)?

Notes:I wanted to rep AK, seemed believable story since 3bet pre and make V2 define his range to a pair of Aces or better

Flop bet is too big.

As played I think the decision is jam vs check.

I probably jam here. We potentially have a lot of outs if called by say AQ.

Nobody ever folds top pair+ to me in spots like this so this is a pretty easy check back and bink river to get villain's stack.

Ez check. Stop trying to get people to fold top pair in a 3bet pot. This is the benefit of position. Use it.

If you really had AK here, you should never bet $125 on this flop. Thats a major leak. Its way too big here also.

Bet $50-$65 on the flop. As played, there's no way the guy is folding the turn. Check back.

No one folds top pair+ to me neither so I check back expecting V2 to have pair of aces a lot of the time

River T We make two pair but 4 to straight on board
Board: (387)A87 6 T

V2(475) after thinking for a while he announces "ALL-IN"
HeroT8(575) there is 862 in pot and its 475 to me to call, Hero?

$125 is probably a bit stronger than is necessary but you can rep AK a certain way even if you never actually play AK that way. The reason being because other player AK like that. Hell, some villains will just jam with AK in this spot.

Tough spot and a self inflicted wound given a bad 3bet pre and bad flop sizing.

His calling range on the flop is going to be tight given the size. So at this point he’s repping 88/77/ATs/A8s/A7s/A6s/99/9T.

You beat none of his value range. The only bluffs you beat are 56 which he should never have.

Fold.

I folded after trying hard to convince myself he had AJ-AK
V2 showed me the 9giving him the straight. did not see other card but he said it was A
