V: fat dopey MAWG, always straddles, calls PFR with any two cards, calls c-bet with any piece of the flop. Super sticky, loves to peel. Once he hits enough to like his hand, starts aggressively doing the betting himself. H stacked him earlier for 400 with a K-high flush vs his Q-high flush. 600
H: Young white TAG playing only top 15% of hands, unlucky image. 450

Preflop:

V limps middle position. Everyone else folds. H has 88 in BB and raises to 35. V calls, predictably.

Flop (68) 973

Checked around.

Turn (68) 8

H leads 50. V raises to 100. H has effective 365 behind. H?

If you're raising this from the blinds then flop is a must bet. As played gii.

I agree that a Cbet on the flop is necessary. As played I want to jamzilla his raise, but im probably only getting called by JT. Am I being too MUBSY?

I think I prefer a call here and the River.

valuebet the flop, there are more draws and secondpair hands in his calling range than TP hands

on the turn i think a 3bet all-in is bad, bc you mostly get called by a straight
his range that we are behind is 16 combos of TJ, 16 cs 56 and 3cs 99 --> 35

we only beat 3 cs 33, 3 cs 77, 3 cs 98, 3 cs 87 and 9 cs 97 --> 20
most of the hands we are now ahead he would have bet the flop with so we cant count all 20 combos, lets say just 10 and its not even sure he gonna call w them on a scary board like this

if he raises here with draws (unlikely bc of small rsize) he'll most likely fold all draws to a big 3bet all-in

i would just flat and keep the bluffs and hands that we are ahead of in his range

pot on river gonna be 268 with 315 behind

if river is an 9, 7, 8 or 3 i would check-raise all-in, bc i think he bets every card of them w his straights and fullhouses
a few times he gonna bet w his bluffs as well
if we bet all bluffs will fold that would have maybe bet and maybe he doesnt raise w his straights on a paired board so that we loose value
open shove could be fine but i think check-raise is better

on any other non flush card we can bet small (~80) to get called by his worse hands (2pairs,33,77) that would most likely not pay a lot more and fold to a raise which says that we are beat

on a flush card i would check-fold, bc if he was semibluffraising turn w fdraw now it gets there and w his hands that are worse than ours he is not calling on such a scary board
bluffing is really unlikely

As played your line looks like AK. You play the flop passive then turn gin on a well coordinated board, but with this villain you're playing extremely nutted vs. his range. 3! to ~200 to leave an automatic AI OTR, and snap call giggle if he shoves over.

There are all types of hands V can have that spazz call a shove here.

Tx, FDs, and SD + FD are all hands that can spazz call, not to mention sets and 2p hands. Obviously sucks if we run into a straight but overall, there are a TON of hands that can call a big raise here that I feel good about jamming him back.

So click it back, $240 to all-in, anywhere in that range is fine.

Result:

Spoiler:
H shoves. V calls nervously despite having the nuts, JT. V holds.

Sounds like I played it reasonably and simply ran into the tippy top of his range.

I think we all knew where this had was going. If not, why would you have posted it?

I agree with those who say bet flop against a guy like this. The turn sucks for you, but in many respects it is a cooler and you can't get too down about it.

Reload, and go after him again.
