3/5 PF Raiser faces paired turn card.

Situation: B&M 3-5 no limit game
Hero has $350.

Hero dealt QcQd UTG. Bets $20
UTG+1 calls. BTN calls.

Flop: Td 6d 3s

Hero likes this flop; bets $60
after brief hesitation villain calls. He started hand with $450

BTN folds.

Ten on turn. Hero checks; villain bets $75.
Hero calls.

3 on river.

Villain bets $100

Villain is unknown to hero.

This situation comes up frequently. I'd like to know others' thoughts how to deal with it.

Do you give him credit for trips and fold on turn or river?

Do you put him on flush draw and call?

Do you call 'cause you've under-repped your hand on turn?

You should get at least $150 more in chips.

Do we have any kind of read on the villan. Is he active and spazzy, is he a nit, is he unknown, is he good....?

If you called the turn, you need to call a blank river. I'd probably just bet/fold the turn against a competent player. Against a spazz I'd take the same line and snap the river.

what do you need to b/c ?
i kinda feel the same way but hero never has a T here and sets are hard to flop. same should go for villain in this hand.
so i feel pretty exploitable when im folding everything but boats here.

my assumptions are based on if this is fullring.

but still, trips and sets are hard to flop/turn on these boards espc if you raise UTG

As played you have to call the river. I think you are up against hands you beat (i.e. non-ten hands) often enough to make this profitable; I have found it to be the case in my experience. Also you surrendered control of the hand on the turn when the second ten hits, villian might sense (correctly) that you are afraid and see this as a good bluffing opportunity.

Re: 3/5 PF Raiser faces paired turn card.

Thank you all for taking the time to respond to this thread.

The villain had KTo

My head was telling me to call, my gut was telling me to fold. I had under-repped the hand on the turn and felt a river call was mandatory, given I had called turn.

There is a fine line between betting for value and checking to induce action from inferior hands. When checking to induce, it's easy to get into uncomfortable spots.
