Villain: Uber loose passive fish, hated folding hands on all streets. He called a $300 bet with a draw on the turn in a $200 pot. He liked to min-raise.

$3/5 NL (8 handed)
UTG
EP Hero ($600)
MP
HJ
CO
Button
SB V ($600)
BB

Hero is dealt KK
1 fold, Hero raises to $15, 4 folds, V calls $15, BB folds

Flop ($35) Q T 8
V bet $25, Hero calls $25

I wanted to give the villain a chance to hang himself. I figured he could have anything, from a draw to a set.

Turn ($85) 2
V bets $50, Hero calls

I was hoping he'd continue to hang himself and I wanted to pot control. Maybe I should have min-raised here?

River ($185): 9
V1 bets $100, Hero?

Comments on all streets are welcome.

Probably fold the river, admittedly you're getting almost 3 to 1 but unless you've seen villain do stuff like mindlessly donk out three streets with a bare top pair on a really wet board or do weird triple barrels with like 33/44/small SC type hands, then that river nine smashes a good chunk of his range plus he already could have had it anyway.

It's a spot very dependent on previous observation of villain but in a vacuum it's very hard for KK to be good against his range on the river (his c/c range is huge but a loose passive's donkbet range is way narrower) so I'd just fold and wait for a better spot against the fish, of which there probably will be numerous.

A loose/passive who hates folding doesnt seem like the type to take a 'trappy' line with

vs this villain, i raise the turn pretty big ~pot size. This is one instance where
we allow villain to fire a 2nd barrel, will call the raise with about all his range, BUT never bluff raise us off our hand. (i would Raise/fold turn due to this)

Yeah, this line is good against an aggressive player that will fold worse hands. Against this guy you want to raise the flop.

If he 3bets you can fold, but if called you fire the turn again. Then I check behind the river or fold if he donks out. Gross river card!
