3/5 To Bet or Not to Bet, That is the Question 3/5 To Bet or Not to Bet, That is the Question

Villain is TAG, playing a bit loose in position. We haven't tangled. Probably views me as a semi-bad rec player. I have never played with him before and have just been folding this session. I am also talking crazy gamble with a maniac and another guy sprinting between the blackjack table and the poker table.

3/5 600eff

2 limps to me in the CO. I raise to 25 w QJ. Button calls, limpers fold.

Flop ($62) Q86
I bet 40, button calls

Turn ($142) T
What's my line? I'm behind all Qs now, most draws fold except pair+SD probably. Do I bet to protect my equity knowing if I get called in probably in trouble?

I like a check/shove here if he bets, but only if you know he's competent and is capable of folding KQ/AQ on this turn. If he calls with KQ/AQ (AQ unlikey due to no re raise pre) we still have 35% and 30% vs Q10 and 25% against sets. I'd discount sets almost altogether though. We block QQ, and he would probably re-raise pre flop with QQ and 88 cut off vs button and he would probably raise the flop with 66. All in all I think a check shove looks super strong and should fold out a large part of his range, provided he bets. My 2nd play would be to check call. 3rd would be to bet.

I check here. Hard to get a lot of value from worse and with our sick draw we're fine if V checks behind and depending on sizing can call or raise.
