I'm in the small blind with AQ off. Everyone folds to the button, button bets 20. Player is very competent reg who is very aggressive. I see him betting a pretty wide range. I three bet and make it 65$. Flop comes 347 rainbow. I fire a 70 donk bet into him just trying to take it down, he flats. turn comes queen. I shove my remaning 75 into the pot. villian snap calls. shows up with 2-5 suited for the straight. Is there any way I can put him on this hand even though he is playing a very wide range? not sure if If i should donk the flop?

Nope. Played fine, especially with your stack size, which is way too short for this game. Can't believe he called the $65. Must be one of the players who figures, "What the heck, he only has <50bb."

Given stack size, other option is to shove pre. It maximizes FE while doing away with your post flop positional disadvantage. It's a tournament play...shoving over a raise if you have about 10x the raise size or less.

If he's calling 3bets with 52 short stacked I kind of doubt this.

I don't think there's any way you're putting him on this hand. Seems fine as played.

I assume the flop is 346? I'd 3! a little larger to $70-75. The SPR will be 1 and you can shove all flops.

He convinced OP and the whole table that 52s is a straight on 347Q.

Dude is better than reg, he's a magician

- Raises 4bb with 52, flats a further 9bb 3bet while 40bb effective
- Competent

Pick one

Am I missing something? 25 is not a straight it's 5 high unless he had 65 and it is a typo. Basically you did nothing wrong but please use better formatting. Your post is missing stack sizes and other important info.
