A friend was asking me about this hand he played at 1/2 and I thought it was pretty interesting and a really tough spot.

V1 in this hand is BB. My friend thinks he's quite good but was possibly a bit steamed at the time of the hand (I think he's just a bad lag).

V2 is BTN. I haven't played with hum much and thought he was just a solid nit but my friend said he's actually really good, probably the best player at the table if on the tighter side.

Hero and BB have around $500 and BTN covers.

Hero opens KTo to $10, BTN apparently picks up chips like he's thinking about raising but just calls. BB 3 bets to $32, hero calls (?), BTN calls.

Flop comes KQTr and BB continues for $62. Hero calls (?), BTN calls.

Turn KQT 7r. BB bets $130. Hero (?).

Seems like a pretty gross spot deep. I just want to fold at basically every decision point in the hand but not sure. How do you guys play this?

Pre depends on position.
If we're in EP then it's a fold both times. If we're in late position then opening is fine but fold to the 3bet.

Flop is a fold against most villians.

Turn is too.

Oops, hero opens in the HJ

Open from HJ is OK. Fold to the 3 bet unless hero thinks V1 is really steaming and will lose his stack with one pair post flop.

As played I probably call the flop bet. It depends on history but villain can be betting AK/AQ on the flop plus some chance of c-betting air. But when V2 comes along and V1 continues on turn I probably find a fold. Depending on my read I might be more worried about V2 then V1 but I'm not liking the situation.

Can't understand how flop is a fold. We block almost all V's set combos, and he's unlikely to have AJ - while it should be in a LAG's 3bet range pre, most people just don't do it.

By the turn it's down to reads. Is V the type to b/f AA/AK here? If not then he's polarized.

Fold pre since you're likely going 3 ways with a hand that isn't very good in multiway or 3 bet pots. If you had k10ss I think I would peel.

Can't fold flop, can't really raise either so i like the call.

OTT 3bettor is repping pretty thin in hero's eyes when we hold the k10 But the vast majority of 1-3 villains just have it in these spots especially when the pot goes 3 way. I think with v2 behind I would fold and not tell anyone.

If button had folded the flop I think you have to call at least one more street.

Calling the preflop 3 bet is really ugly. Really really ugly.

KTo from the HJ is marginal at best, especially considering there are no limpers to isolate. Like what are you trying to accomplish here? This ain’t a tournament and you don’t need to be stealing the blinds from the HJ at 1/2. I think it’s alright from the CO and fine from the BTN, but just let it go on the HJ.

As played fold to 3!. KTo is garbage and you have a tight player behind and a strong range up front.

You do not open KTo from EP or MP so that you do not have difficult decisions to make postflop.
