Has some merit imo

Victory Points is the name of the format. I play in a couple of those leagues. Usually this time of year brings this discussion as people lament their bad luck of being second highest league scorer and missing the playoffs while a bottom 2-3 scoring team makes it in.

FWIW, I like the format. Most seasons it really doesn't change much, but it does help to protect those 1-2 owners who run terribly with their weekly matchups and somehow face a top 3 scoring team seemingly every week.

I like the idea of having an overall competition in addition to head to head. I play in one league that is total points only.

Now if only a few of my players can actually play up to expectations.

I think Hodor could play short handed this week and still beat me.

I play in a 12 team league where the top 5 teams make the playoffs normally. The 6th team is the highest scoring team not already in the playoffs regardless of record.

I obviously never make it in the playoffs as the 6th team.

I looked at the transaction order and I see chips went through before mine but I'm quite certain I had the #1 waiver pick this week. I only put in 1 transaction Tuesday night because I knew I was getting him. If I was #2 I would have made multiple transactions

Is it bad that you set your lineup based largely on the criteria that you have a player playing in all the time slots on Sunday and Monday night?

I mean you want to watch your guys so I get it. Also having someone on MNF means you always have hope.
