Playing a short stack post flop is easy when you hit, however, when you have air on a dry board such as:

FLOP: 10 8 4

and any reasonable 2/3pot bet will pot commit him...the decision of pushing or checking can be tricky. I realize this is player dependent but against an unknown, if you raise here with AJ, should you be shoving the flop most of the time? or is it better to go into c/f mode. Also, if villian is short and he checks both the flop and turn, ok to delay c-bet shove to a blank?

Looking for default play leaks.

Having a default play without any reads is a leak. On-line, I understand that sometimes you have to go with a line against a generic unknown at a level.

However, live you always have some sort of read. It will be a stereotype if nothing else, but at least it is something. Below is simply just a partial list of the things to be considering.

1. Did the player buy in short or has he lost money?
2. Did he come in alone or appear to have friends around?
3. If he bought in short, did he have more money in his wallet or did this look about it?
4. Is it late or near meal time?
5. Are you IP or OP?
6. Villain Tight or Loose, passive or aggressive?
7. Are you the PFR?
8. Does he know how to cut his chips?
9. Does he know how to cup his cards well?
10. Does he go back to look at his cards if he calls pf on a flop or does he look once and is done?
11. How is he dressed?
12. Is he drinking and how much?

Of course, there's much more than this, but many of these are the things that you don't need a couple of hours at the table before knowing. If you aren't thinking about these things as a new player joins the table, it is a leak. I assure you that the better posters on this board are running through a check list (at least subconsciously) like this in order to put a player in a pigeon hole early, subject to revision.

too vague. Put numbers on it. Also, even simple info such as what villain looks like would give a tad insight.
