I dont have much history with villian... he is a decent player and we have played hours at 1/2 and 2/5 but no hands to recall. I thought about a 3 bet pre but decided there was no point but I felt that I was going to play this hand different than I usually would.

As played, do you think he has a worse hand to be min-raising you? Is he on some advanced level to be min-raise bluffing you? I doubt he's min-raising you with AT or worse. If you call the flop you have to be prepared to call a bigger bet on the turn and river.
I led to alter my play. I know leading is bad here but now that I think about it I could lead as a bluff and 3-bet? Crazy thought I guess....
