V in UTG is the mark/calling station at the table... earlier hand, I raised to $8 in CO over 1 fishy limper, V on BTN called (range = ATC), two other calls.. flop came J76r (one h).. I cbet 1/2 pot, he just called with J6s, turn was 9h, went c/c, river was 3h, I bet 1/2 pot again, he min-raised, I folded...and he showed his two-pair..

This hand, V limps UTG, whole table limps, Hero ($350) raises to $18 in BB with KK, V ($260) and 3 others call

Flop ($75): Q55r (one d)
Hero bets $30, only V calls

Turn ($135):
2d
Hero bets $60, V calls

River ($255): Qc
Hero checks, V bets $40, Hero folds

Figured I couldn't beat anything against this V's sucker-bet. Is turn bet okay though vs a whale, who will likely call 3 streets with Qx or is it being optimistic and I should factor in the possibility of 5x there and pot-control?

OTT, I was thinking of going b/b/shove and considering it a cooler if I lost to 5x.

What are the blinds in this game? Even at $1/2, I'm probably making it ~$25 PF from the BB vs. a field of 6 limpers. Flop and turn are definitely b/f spots, sizing look too small though IMO. River is gross but I'm never folding in this spot getting 7.5-1. He's spazzing here often enough with mid PPs or random floated diamonds for calling to be +EV.

I also prefer a raise to >20.

Rest of the play is up to the river is fine. Maybe a little larger on flop and turn.

AP on the river you are getting 295:40, ~ 7,4:1 and have to be good one out of 8,5 times. I really don't know how one is supposed to fold here given those odds.
Call and be happy if he actually bet that small with a boat.

raise more preflop

OP - what's your plan on the flop when you make that $30 bet? Is that the same bet you're making with AQ, KQ, AA, JJ, TT, A5, etc?

I echo everyone that your sizing is way off. Make it at least $20 pre.

As played OTF, why only $30? Bet at least $40 and build the pot. OTT, this guy is saying he has a Q after calling flop (I assume he doesn't have a 5 in his UTG limp/call range) so bet more and get value from him. You said he was a station so bet like $100. He'll call.

I would likely fold on that gross river card too. Calling stations don't thin VB hands like TT here...especially when they can check back and get to showdown. They often don't VB 5x either.

Agree pf was a mistake, but flop was rainbow/dry-ish and this V could very easily have 5x in his range here given he wasn't folding any hand pre. I just wanted to do some damage control incase he had that.

If we bet big, I'd be pretty committed to stack off if he call/called.

Yes, except with JJ/TT. I'd probably just c/f those against 3+ players like here.
