200bb deep OOP facing a squeeze 200bb deep OOP facing a squeeze

$5-$5
6 handed 200bb effective

Hero(Image: Solid winning reg) raise to 15 UTG
Average reg flats in the HJ
Strong reg squeezes on the button to 80
He has a somewhat wide range, definitely too wide for us to set mine profitably.

Obviously 4 betting is an option, but lets discuss what hands are profitable flats in this scenario.

What has he seen you open UTG at that sizing &/or how often do we open UTG in general? His 3bet range vs a solid UTG open should be fairly narrow likely more nutted than evenly polarized if you call 3bets light or 4bet frequently. If you fold plenty to 3bets than it'll have more bluffs.

I'm opening around 20% UTG, always with the same sizing.
Less than 20% having him on the button, but he probably doesn't realize this.

I know he isn't coming after me any lighter than normal, but I'll still say his button squeezing range is around 10%.

We have played a few session together, but we haven't really clashed yet.

If you're opening UTG 20% of the pack you are playing way too wide an loose by any standard unless you got yourself a bunch of suckers around the table.
Now, the dudes from behind all realize how wide you play early and probably that's why they put a squeeze on you. The answer to your question is into the description of your play. I can give my stats of my last two weeks full time live play here in Vegas also in 5/10 NL with effectives 200bb. I am real tight, real very solid and tight but very aggressive. Much more selective then you are in your game and much more aggressive then normally you are. I'm sure of that and.

Hands Dealt: 2200
Time: 73 hours
Saw Flops
493 out of 2200 hands (22%)
211 out of 355 times in BB (59%)
90 out of 363 times in SB (25%)
192 out of 1509 times in other positions (12%)
Pots Won
won at showdown 77 out of 137 (56%)
won without showdown 202

As you can see I'm coming in 12% outside of the blinds and my overall average is 22% including the blinds. But ...man wtf? .. how can you manage being solid with 20% UTG? - I never meet any local Vegas pro that opens 20% of the deck UTG. That is something very amazing. I mean, 20% UTG are all those combos 22+, A2s+, and all Broadways suited or unsuited (270 out of 1326)

You can 4-bet QQ+ and AK.

I think 20% is too wide from UTG. Somewhere around 14% to 17% is better.

There's lots of pre-flop charts on the internet.

Raising up 20% UTG(LJ) is too loose on a live table?
With the good reg on the button I'm raising around 17%.

This is not 500 NL online full of tough regs!
It's 500 NL live, with 80% of the players being awful.

I think you're opening rather wide. Doesn't matter how good these guys are, were deep and OOP so we should be pretty tight in EP, but anyways.

I'd flat 88-QQ and AQs maybe KQs. 4bet KK+/AK with some SC if he folds to 4bets. I really don't like 4betting QQ as it usually folds out most of the hands we beat and want to see flops with to get more $ in.

It depends on the villain and what he knows about you.

That's why I'm locking this. These threads tend to meander around multiple ideas of who the villain is and little comes of it.
