Just observed this hand and was wondering if there was a better course of action by Hero.

Hero . Fairly loose PF but more passive ABC post. 420
V1 . Winning player . Plays wide and knows how to pressure a 1-2 table but also knows how to fold. 650
V2 . Fairly unknown but visibly still upset about being called down with A6 on a 67K board that ran out KK by 78. 180

Almost closing time playing 7 handed. 2 limpers and Hero opens for 11 in HJ with K7. V2 calls on B . V1 calls from SB.

3 handed . 40 pot . Flop K78 all . Hero bets out 27 . Call . Call by both without much thought.

Pot 120 . Turn 4 . Hero decides to check. V2 bets 45. SB pauses and calls . Hero pauses and calls as well.

Pot 255 . River J SB checks for 3rd time . Hero puts out silly 18 bet after observing V2 ready to shove. V2 shoves anyway with 100. SB pretty much insta-calls. Hero?

Hero has no issue calling off to V2 but V1s actions have him thinking set or small flush, perhaps KxJ.

You need to win ~17% of the time to break even on a call. Are u good that often???

Fold pre. Terrible raise pre. Bet fold flop and turn. Don't block bet river. Check fold or check call or bet fold river. If u think they bluff check call if not check fold or bet fold

Preflop is table dependent. It's very often good, but I don't really like it with a tilting button.

Flop: look to see if button is reaching for chips. If so, c/r is a dream here. If not, obviously you have to bet, but I'd bet it harder than this. Prolly $35.

Turn: Again, I'm only checking if I caught villain reaching for chips, and if I did, I'm doing it with the intention of x/trapping (I don't think this is a particularly great play on the turn, though, as we're practically going to start overrepping our hand if that's what we do). Now that we x/c'ed a small bet, I don't really care what we do on the river. I'm tempted to not even read the rest of the HH after that. In fact, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

K7 doesn't play very well on many boards. This is one of those hands that is better to limp with than raise, and only if we have a major post flop edge over the other players.

EDIT: Misread flop/thread title and didn't realize flop was all hearts. Don't feel like thinking through what I'd do in this spot right now, but wanted to make that correction.

Thanks for the comments so far. Told this person to join up and post himself ... newbies never hurt a site like this!!

As I was watching the hand I had Hero on AhKx (possibly combo draw) but not as strong as he was, V2 on Kx or some draw (still way too jumpy for a solid hand) but V1 was bothering me (as he does quite often). He could have everything from nut flush down to nothing (looking for a steal on River). With V1 OOP I really didn't think he would try to steal here with V2 looking to gii, but with the quick calls of both Flop and Turn I knew he was connected somehow.

The 'feeler' bet on River is common in this room, although the unknown V1 may not have know it. It's kind of amusing when it's put to use, but ... monkey see monkey do, at least in this room.

Anyone else care to comment?
