2/5 nl.

Joined the table a couple of rounds ago. V has over 1.5k by looks of it. Max BI is 500$.

H stack - $720

I aggr RR her and she usually folded on turn/rivers. Had hands all three times. She seems to view me as trying to push her around.

PF - raise to 20$
Hero calls w/AdQs from co.
SB comes along as well.

Pot - 60$
Qh5c2c

V bets 25$
H raises to 70$ (a bit weak bet sizing to keep pot small in case flush hits)
SB folds
V calls quickly

Pot - 200$

Turn - Js
V checks
H bets 110$ (not thinking clearly here- was just trying to charge her for a FD)
V calls quickly again

Pot - $420
River As

V bets $225

Hero??

Her range includes sets, busted fds, unlikely runner runner st8(I am I being too quick to discount it here??), bluffs, 2 pair and A-x

Thanks.

Insta call. She might have been been chasing the flush and hit her ace. She could make this bet with just a single A or even AJcc.

There are too many hands in her range to fold this. The only thought, for me is whether to raises and see if she will call with a worse two pair or just the Ace. it's a thin spot but i just can't see her showing up with a boat.

With a set, I'm thinking she bets or check-raises turn. Same goes for K10cc that picks up all of those extra outs on the turn.

Ax cc makes so much sense here. So do busted flush draws. So does Ac 2/5/J (floating + not believing you) or even some hands with the Qc.

Agree with Pokersevil, you are ahead of way to much of her range to ever find a fold here. Even more so w/ info that she feels you've been pushing her around and could be making a stand.

Shove wouldn't even be a terrible play. $295 more gives her 3 to 1 on a call, which she could totally make w/ a lesser two pair or hero-call w/ Ace. I lean towards just calling, but I'd shove before I folded.

She showed KTcc when I called, decided not to push as st8 (34, KTs, sets) were in her range as well. Just a cooler and after reviewing it - feel more confident about my plays. Corrections welcome!

Quick check/calls usually mean decent draws, like FDs. Folks with sets tend to either bet or consider betting.

I would have made it $100 on the flop. Can't let a < half pot bet go through, it's going to be a "I want to draw cheap" bet most of the time at this level (a clever player would level you and use it to induce).

The real issue is if you bet half pot on the turn, there's < pot-sized bet left for the river, and on most rivers, you don't want to play for stacks. If I had a good read V was on a draw, I'd bet, but pot control is a reasonable goal too.

quick ch/calls aren't always draws IMO. ive found most of the time the person just wants to get to showdown so they try and slow you down by snap calling and showing what they think is strength. for example if I have been double barreling a lot ppl will many times call me light on dry boards and snap call the turn barrel.

but yes, with sets or really strong made hands they usually have to at least consider what to do.

Definetely calling here. If she has you beat it is a cooler.

The turn might have been a check. This chick seems like shes out for blood brah, gotta watch of out for those ones.

1) River is the most super clear shove of all time. Sets are super unlikely because sets are hard to get and she would normally let you know. Literally only KcTc makes sense as a straight so we can ignore that. 34 seems unlikely due to preflop. There's only 1 combo of AA. She's not folding AcJc. Make her make a good fold with AcXc.

2) Turn is fine against most women imo. As a general rule, women are pretty passive and cally. Means there's value to be had, but it's an easy fold if she shoves.

3) Interesting question is if we can go for value on the river unimproved, and I'm not 100% sure. It's close.
