$2-$5 NL Cash Game

Reads:
This is the first hand at a newly formed table. I recognize a lot of the players, but I have never seen the villain in this hand.
Relevant stack: $600

MP opens to $20
Hero has AT in the Lojack and raises to $60.
MP calls.
2 players
Pot = $127

Flop: AQT
Villain checks. Hero bets $75. Villain calls.

Turn: 3
Villain checks. Hero checks.

River 9
Villain checks. Hero bets $175 ...

Please advise on the line I took
Thanks

Preflop is rather bluffy but if you know most of the people at the table could be OK. I wouldn't do it at a table of unknowns.

Flop is good. You hit this hard but this is a stinking wet flop and villain either hit it someplace or has air and won't call anything. Turn is OK if you suspect villain might raise but another bet would be OK also. River is $175 into $277, probably too big for the situation.

A lot of the big hearts are in your hand or on the board and the board limits villain's flop calling range. It's hard for him to show up with a mediocre flush. Villain might have bet into you on the river if they had a big heart. Villain's range is pretty tilted towards AX/QX without a heart. I would be betting $75 here to get a crying call from a much wider range then just Kh/Jh.

Yes bet the turn. You can't be so worried about the flush draw and are likely ahead.

Preflop is a bit meh, but sure, let's go with it.

Once you see that flop, it's bet/bet/bet

Turn bet primarily targets the two combos of Ax:K and three combos of KKx which have plenty of outs versus you.

Ya pretty much impossible for villain to have a flush on the turn aside from KJ.

I'm not thrilled with the hand & position you chose to 3-bet with, but it's not horrible.

The turn is a must bet. You could check it with the naked A but with 2-pair and the nut draw there is fat value to be had here.

On rivers like this I've found downbetting to have a high rate of success. $50 gets called nearly 100% of the time in these spots, even by hands that should have no chance of winning. Same thing when I have a one card nut straight. They call way too wide.

Kinda confusing line here....Is the 3b for value or a bluff? I would hate to have to fold to a 4bet when I am in position with a decent hand.

AP, bet flop, bet turn 175, shove river
