5/5 ES 600

Vilain Level 2 thinker, plays Omaha, pots river holding KT on Kh Ah Kd 2h Js board (finds a call from AQo)

Vilain opens 20 from UTG, two calls (Including mine)

Hero HJ holds 98c.

Flop (65) Qc9h5c
Vilain bets 40.
V2 folds; Hero Calls (He bets 1/2 pot OOP vs 2 players, he'd check if he misses flop [specific read]);

Turn (145) Qc9h5c 8s
V. bets 75
Hero Calls (is this good option to have a strong calling range or we want to raise IP?)

River (295) Qc9h5c 8s Ks
Vilain reaches chips to bet then decides to check.
Hero?

I don't see any reason to raise the turn. We most likely have a best hand. Getting paid by a worse hand is tough, but it appears villain overvalues hands so I target Qx here with a $100 bet.

I raise turn. Kq or aq qj may call.

As played bet $100 on river, for the crying call. The chip out and deciding not to bet is classic sign of weakness. He's hoping to just showdown.

Pretty nitty to x/b 98 here, he can have AA, Qx, AKcc, AcKx, AxKc, KTs, KJs. I guess if you think he's betting these combos himself (excluding Qx) and he's going to fold Qx to a river bet then yeah I can see checking back 98 being pretty reasonable.

Turn is close; typically at LLSNL sizing indicates exactly what they're saying they have, and this sizing says "I have exactly Qx, KK+". Versus that range it's criminal not to raise 98cc

In theory if villain had bet a more appropriate size like 3/4 pot I think 98cc does see more calls than folds (maybe even a pure call?) given that flop was 3way. Versus a 1/4 or 1/3 sizing on the turn I think 98cc would do some raising and some calling.

I can go either way on the turn. A raise could easily lose him, though, so I don't mind the flat.

I bet the river ~$125.

How does V see you? That could change my decision on turn and river.

He sees me as a solid player, he's a bit wary but can't fold much. If he has a strong Q he's not folding.

Definitely bet. (Let's hope his Q isn't as strong as KQ )

True, I know that and yet didn't pull trigger.

We lose to bigger two pairs (KQ, K9s, Q9 [unlike] and JT. We beat all Qx since he'd have not many K, except KK. I was afraid specifically of KQ in this hand.

Honestly I was scared of being out-played by a fish. Betting River and being raised :/

I know it's -EV.

We've all done it.

Literally the best piece of advice here I got was "every time you don't value bet the river, a small puppy dies"

flat flop and turn seem fine, river snap value bet. the fact he reached for chips as well is giving you 5 extra green lights to value bet
