2 hands at 1/1 2 hands at 1/1

Started playing live poker to mix up my week, playing 1/1 and 1/2 at my local casino.

I have a few hands I would like to get feedback on, hoping I did not misplay them too badly.

First hand playing 1/1. We are 200BB deep.

Limped pot and I have K5o in the sb. Pot is limped 5 ways and the flop is K,5,2r.
I lead for a £5 pot bet on the flop and get called in 2 spots. The bb calls and an older guy on the btn calls. Turn is J and brings a fls draw. I bet out £15 and bb calls again but now the older btn guy makes it £62 and I have no idea what to do in this spot.

Any thoughts?? I will post my actions later on to see if I made the right play.

Hand 2 playing 1/1 vs a thinking young player that seemed a little intoxicated (he might of just been acting that way though not really sure).

He has 130 bb and I cover him. This kid just stacked another player with 65s when he called his 3bet and chk shoved on the flop of 3,4,7.

Anyway on to my hand vs him. I am in the bb with k9o and we see a limped pot 4way. Flop is Kd,Qh,7d. We all chk and he fires £ 5 into the pot. SB and UTG folds and I decide to just flat. Turn brings the 3s missing all draws, and at this point I am thinking if I have the best hand on the flop I prob still have the best hand on this turn. I chk again and he fires again this time £20. I always start to hate life when players do this in limped pots and I have to make pretty though decisions with marginal holdings. Anyway I call to re-evaluate the river, the river brings a non flush Ten. Board looks like this K,Q,7,3,T. I insta chk my hand on the river.

A,J and J,9 got there but both are gutters. The obv flush draw missed and the open ender just made a pair of Tens. I think he would of raised AJ utg+1 so the hand he's repping is really only J,9. I ask him as he's pondering what to do on the river, I say are you going to bluff that river. He mumbles and says I don't know, then says yes under his breath and jams for £100 allin over betting the pot, pots like £55.

Time to re-evaluate my hand. Is this guy capable of value betting a hand like 2pair or a set, obv yes but does he just shove all in with these types of hands.I never played with him before and have no reads except for the all in 65s hand few hands before this. While I am deciding he is acting super confident about his hand and it looks like he wants a call. I ask him if he will show if I fold and he says I will show 1 card and maybe the other as well lol wtf.

I decided to call after a while and would like to hear if you think it's the right play. My thought process was that he wouldn't jam allin with 2 pair/sets but prob bet like 30ish to get value from my 1 pair hands. I think he turns his hand face up to having a straight or nothing. I might be wrong in my assumptions though.

I will let everyone know the hands in question once I get some feedback.

Later guys

Playing Kx from early position can put a strain on your brain for sure!!

Hand 1 ... With 2 callers OTF I might go for the c/r on this Turn. I know I will get the 'losing value' comments if it checks through but depending on the dynamic of your game I want to make them pay 2 bets (or none) to get to the River. You really should feel good about your hand ... until an opponent says differently. I'm not really worried about the flat, but a raise of this size from 'OMC' should send a signal to you. It is very likely that he has a set or KJ at this point. If you don't have any history with this player then this is where you shove or fold. There really is not calling here IMO.

Hand 2 ... Hard to tell from the outside, but you gave him some intel by talking to him. He probably is smart enough to know that you are betting all 2pr/set/straights and now you basically told him you have Kx/Qx with your comments AND you insta-checked. He can probably rule out AK so that puts him in a pretty good position to make a bet like this knowing that this board makes 1 pair hands uncomfortable. I guess I wouldn't make a comment like the one you made without the intention of calling, so I call here and either look like a hero or goat.

You certainly see the issues with playing Krag type of hands from early position. Best thing to do is either go full tilit or keep the pots small. Again not knowing the dynamic of your table I think your Flop action in the first hand is good. I wouldn't c/r the Flop, but I would c/r the Turn. In the second hand I would again c/r the Turn against this kind of an opponent who has put out a 'go away' bet. This will allow me to fold on the River more 'at ease' with my decision if flatted ... but I also lead out in both cases using the 'blocker' bet to put pressure on him to react. He is less likely to raise in either case without a strong holding and you get to showdown, which is where you want to be. GL

Hand 1 is a fold. Your hand is only marginally better than top pair, which would be a trivial fold here. When someone calls flop and raises turn it is almost always 2 pair or better, and you are behind more often than you are ahead given how ragged the board is.

Hand 2 I honestly just fold on the flop. Playing a weak top pair oop isn't a great idea. As played river is close. Massive bets are really polarizing as either bluffs or the nuts hoping to get paid. Hard to know what to do since I never play a hand this way. If anything about his behavior indicates bluff to me I snap this off.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I ended up folding hand 1 still not sure if I should or not.

Hand 2 I ended up calling him and he was bluffing, so good read on my part.

I'm surprised you'd fold on the flop with top pair Koss, we can at least call and see what villain does on turn?

Also to "answer" I was in the blinds with K5 for the record. I did not limp in from early pos as you suggested.
