2/5NL - TT facing big river shove on turn with wet textured board 2/5NL - TT facing big river shove on turn with wet textured board

This is a 2/5 game at Foxwoods on a Sunday afternoon. Villain is fairly new at the table (asian in his 20s) and has been pretty active, on the laggy side. I am observing that he likes to attack weakness in position and barrel post to take it away. When i say he attacks weakness, this includes limps, raise sizes smaller than normal in LP position that come across as steal raises and even isolate short stack opens when they get flatted (squeez play). His style, at the time, came across more as a tournament style play.

Preflop: Effective stack is $600 (villain has me covered) and I have TT UTG (3 seat) and i make it $20. I get 3 callers

Flop ($95): 479
I bet $60 and villain calls fairly quickly

Turn ($215): 8

Do you b/f? b/c? c/f? c/c? What do we put villain on at this point and how do we proceed? I will post my turn action after a few replies. Thanks.

What position is villain in? And the position of the other callers?

villain was in 9 seat and btn in 10 seat. He is CO and 2 callers in between. I am UTG.

Well that turn card sucks. Without Tc I probably c/c or c/f depending on sizing.

Is he peely or does he like to float in position? I'm guessing with that player description the answer is probably yes. And if so how wide?

Worst card in the deck, 56 got there, 98 got there, flush got there.

I am checking here, and giving him the driver's seat. Bad spot. I am probably folding to most sizings here, just because player like this is rarely going to not make us call a big river bet if he is barrelling turn.

I haven't seen him peel or float per say. Mostly raising right away when acting behind weak action.

I see a lot of people are advocating checking the turn and releasing control. Isn't there merit to b/f instead? Wouldn't villain still have some pair+SD hands in his range that we should bet against? I think if we bet turn and get raised we can confidently release the hand. If we get called he could still have some 2 pair and P+SD hands that we still have some equity against and not drawing completely dead. When we bet I feel like we give a green light and pummels me with his entire range. Thoughts?

Edit: Tilte is wrong and should say Turn shove, not river shove ... not even sure why i gave that away in the title :-/

B/f is horrible against this type of player because it does nothing to define his range. If his plan was to peel in position with any piece of the board and bluff flush cards your bet does nothing to change that.

I think since we don't know how wide he's peeling here and that card completes so much random crap like 2 pair, straights, and obv flushes, and he's going to be firing the river with his bluffs almost always that I would just check/fold to a decent sized bet. But it's probably pretty close.

Definitely could not have asked for a worse turn card. Hero is only beating bluffs and is OOP. No time to be a hero, check/fold.
