Thoughts on hand?

I have long history with V and we know eachothers tendencies well. He can be opening wide UTG and c-betting equally wide otf - including QT type hands, overpairs, and even suited connector combos that wrap this flop. MP is a speculative type who has a similar range to V.

V's take on the hand was that he owns me by flatting the c/r and deciding whether to continue based on the turn. I suspect that I have significant equity against his likely range otf (say 46/54 or so, plus fold equity), my range absolutely contains 2pr+ hands which I'm balancing here, and my turn jam is getting the correct express odds.

Why not just lead out for about $45? If hes opening wide UTG, hes just going to fold the flop a ton of the time. If he raises you can shove and you will have a lot of FE. If he calls your bet, you can play poker from there.

Your line isn't bad but I think you have very little FE on the turn if he called your check raise. Villain is nuts if he thinks he can call your check raise wide and then decide whether or not to continue on the turn because just about anyone who check raises the flop like this is shoving every turn.

Interesting line- was the goal to play super aggro?

The flop definitely has several different routes, I believe you took the highest variance route however. Once we flat call preflop, I feel like we establish that we are not taking the super aggro/strong route. The flat call here probably allows V to put you on the bottom half of your range. When we c/r (shove) the flop, you appear to polarize yourself with either the nuts, or a total bluff. In this case, against a player we know really well I feel like that established relationship increases the odds of them calling (when we would rather them fold). I personally would have led out for a standard c-bet here, and see how V reacts then, re-evaluate.

Or possibly flat call the flop to see if you hit the straight, then c/shove?

This is an interesting hand-

It’s not a bad line in a vacuum but a) you’re not deep enough to threaten a one pair hand, and b) you’re semi-bluffing into an uncapped range that opened UTG and c-bet 3-way on a board that favors a calling range.

This is a much better line to take with your value hands than bluffs. You’re getting a very good price to draw to your possible 10-outer I would probably just take the odds.

Seems like a decent candidate to balance our 76s/77/66/99/T8s value range. This x/r line or b/3b are both good against a thinking player.

I’m value heavy in these spots for sure and it works a treat, in fact I flopped str on next hand and cr again to get repopped by set (and chop ridiculous top str runout)
That’s part of the reason to advertise/balance here. It will be remembered.

I like the b/3b option and wish I could be more certain of V response with an overpair. I rarely lead back into the OR, prob a leak, so V may get wary and deny the planned 3b.

Once we call pre then a cc c? line is pretty std I know, but not sure whether value is better in long run taking a hyper line with this 86 occasionally
