2/5 nl Sunday afternoon
Hero: covers, MAWG, I’ve been moved to this table about 20 minutes ago from a broken table. Played first hand with ”aggro” image as PFR, bet flop and turn to win normal pot...that’s all; who knows of B was even paying attention as he was debating to rebuy
V: $440; MAWG; got stacked on the hand I observed when I was moving tables: his 3! pre IP with KK when his V check called flop and bink gutter with A3 on 2594K board. Villain seemed to take it well; not complaining or even showing much emotion. Leads me to think he is comfortable at these stakes and might be a winner...who knows
OTTH: villain returned from getting more cash about 2 hands ago
Folds to hero in MP1, goes $25 with A
A
. Folds to V in small blind and he calls.
Flop J
8
9x ($57)
V check hero $40, v calls
Turn J
8
9x5x ($147)
V check calls $90 without much thought
River J895Jr ($327)
V leads $290 without much thought
Hero blocks all A-high flush draws; taking a large chunk of his bluffing range away. I would somewhat expect a smallish min-raise-type bet OTT with any made hand to set up a less than half PSB OTR.
I feel Villins don’t typically do this will a J
Thoughts?
