Tough spot and an interesting problem.
I am not sure what I'd do but probably fold. As a curiosity in your games, did you do a HH statistical sample of how often do V's to you over bets:
- fold better hands than yours
- call with a worse hand
- raise with a worse hand
Granted it would be tough for V to put you on two pair but am feeling that he is slow playing a set or an over-pair (TT/JJ)?. Not much makes sense, unless he is shoving with bricked spades that caught a piece OTT or OTR???
. BTW I love the overbets specially for the reasons you posted you make them. Guessing it would be hard to adjust to them if you time them well to your V's. Could be a double edge sword, depending on how well V's adjust.
Thanks for posting. This one gave me a slight headache but quite interesting to me actually.
Results?
