$2/5 casino, eight handed
Table: After 30 minutes, I can already tell it's a tough 2/5 games. Five of my seven opponents are clear grinders, playing position and 3betting frequently. The two weaker players are now short stacked. I'm leaving the table in a couple hands in search of better action.
Hero ($700): Maybe a nittish image. I raised pre twice. I took one hand down on the flop with a cbet. I folded another when an opponent c/r my cbet on the flop.
V1 ($500): Side villain. The weakest of the grinders. He plays too many hands oop and plays too passively. He appears fairly straight forward.
V2 (covers): The main villain. Fairly loose-aggressive. He's playing most of his hands in position. I'd say he's playing about 30-35% of hands overall, a mix of raising and calling. He's very sticky postflop, especially in position.
OTTH:
Hero A

V1 limps utg+1, hero opens $25 from the LJ, V2 calls from the CO, blinds fold, V1 calls.
I assume preflop is noncontroversial.
Flop ($80) J

V1 checks, Hero checks, V2 checks
I strongly debated my flop action. I anticipated a float or raise from V2. I strongly considered a double or triple barrel. I decided to check because I didn't think my reads were strong enough after only 30 minutes. I had SDV and I doubted the effectiveness of a cbet.
Turn ($80) 7
V1 checks, Hero bets $50, V2 calls, V1 folds
I figured I had the green light to take it down after two checks from V1 and a check from V2. If I check again, I assume V2 fires because clearly neither V1 nor I have any interest in the pot. I think some better hands (low pp) might fold and I can get value from worse hands (straight/flush draws)
Turn ($180) 2
Hero checks, V2 bets $80, Hero?
I checked hoping for a check down. I thought villain would call the turn with a fair amount of straight/flush draws. I planned to check the river with the intention of calling reasonable bets.
