2-5 game at Borgata....$500 eff stks..limped pot 3 way...cutoff, button (me with pkt 3's) and BB...flop--8 3 2 rainbow...c/o bets $20, I call, BB raises to $60. c/o folds..i flat. turn--Qh..brings flush draw. bb bets $80..i raise to $200. bb calls. River--A..BB goes all-in...i call. He has pocket Aces. Was informed DO NOT raise a set on board of this texture. BB says if I raise flop and lead turn, he folds. Opinions? Am I ever avoiding going broke on this hand?

I think u played it prolly the best you could have. Reguardless of what anyone says no one really knows how the hand "would have" played unless it was actually played imo. U could raise c/o's $20 and have bb 3bet flop and u over shove, or yea raise bb, and yea u could have also raised turn more to get stacks in there, but tbh with u I think u played it best. Just a cooler

I did raise the turn...I was also informed flatting the raise on the flop was sign of a monster. IDK...

*sry.."raise the turn more"...just saw that.* I guess I could've shoved, but I felt I had him right where I wanted him.

You played it fine. Why would you shove turn? So that he can't draw to his 2 outs?

Flop is good imo. I can argue for a raise only because the villain shows a lot of strength by checking raising a bet and call. But, trapping is fine in this spot. Flatting doesn't necessary mean anything - you could have 45 or even refuse to fold top pair.

Turn is good - bet sizing is great because now you can shove for an amount that is less than 1/2 pot.

River - snap call. What can you do? Got unlucky.

Thanks, Flip...I was hoping someone agreed. Villain said he thought I was floating AQ and that I must be thinking I was ahead on the turn...FLOATING a check raise with A high?? Weird, right? I thought for a sec (and only a sec) he had a bigger set. Then thought maybe 2 pr. being the BB. But all in all, I think going broke there was inevitable.

Is saying that just so you feel you got unlucky or played bad. No $2-$5 player is going to tell you a hand they would fold and/or fold aces lets be serious. You played then hand right IMO nothing you can do just tuff luck.
