hello 2+2,
today i played a hand in a way thats semi-standard for me, but it feels weak passive, and id like to explore other more profitable ways to play this and similar spots.

the game is playing fairly loose pre, and fit or fold post. with a couple calling station fish post. Were in full exploitive value-mode right now.
Ive only been at the table about 45 mins, the main villain in this hand has about 900 in front of him, and he seems loose, hes been straddling and floating a bit so far.
Hero stack=300.

OTTH

1/2/but straddles 4. effective stacks=300.

V limps UTG, mp TAG limps, SB whale limps, Hero BB with QJhh limps, BUT checks.
5 ways
(20) Flop 964chh
SB checks. Hero bets 15. UTG V calls. fold fold fold.
(50) Turn 7s
hero checks, V bets 25, hero folds.

Pre is fine

Otf id check

Ap ott i think folding is so nitty but i think fine, we need 25% equity and we dont have a ton of implied odds, and we have rio vs higher fd, our hand will be face up, and its hard to extract value oop

Anyone else prefer $30 pre?
AP I don’t like pumping it up on the flop with a Q High flush draw. I just check.
Which is the whole point of the $30 question I guess.. very, very rarely going to go get a flop we want a lot of money going in 5 ways and otherwise end up playing passively oop with an average hand.
Suited, has enough post flop playability to make it $30 and take down the dead money and if we get a caller and Chet this flop and take it down plenty

I would fire turn and river,as played I would check raise turn, and fire river, his hand looks weak as he bets half pot on turn, I think he can call only turn raise and very often will fold river

Interesting, yeah I was considering a triple barrel here for sure, it seems like we’re gonna get a lot of calls on the turn... the strong coordination of the turn card has to be bad for our turn fold equity, T9 is the big hand I expect to call turn and fold Riv.
Also I think it’s unlikely that v has a set given that he just called the flop, although I don’t want to rule it out completely.
I think I like the triple barrel more than the bet, c/r, bet line.
Although we are a bit in the dark if V has a hand like T8 and just calls down.
I guess if we take the triple barrel line we’re better off firing the riv on a blank/uncoordinated card
