Want thoughts on if these spots are good 2nd barrels. Playing $2-5 at Parx on a Monday night. Full tables.

Hand 1 - 1st hand at the table and i pick up AK and raise to $25 after posting in mid position. Guy named Niko calls (I've played with him very sparingly before and he's sitting next to his finance - I don't have great reads on him). Flop is 224 and I make it $35 and he calls. Turn is a 6and I made it $75 putting Niko on a small pair and thinking I could rep a big pair that includes a heart. My stack to start the hand was $500 and he covered.

Hand 2 - different table and I pick up 99UTG and made it $25. Older Asian guy, Wilson calls in the BB. Flop is monotone 6710and I bet $35 after he checked. Turn is a 3 and he checks and I make it $65. I have $800 and he covers to start the hand. My general read is that Wilson is loose preflop but pretty straight forward post with a lean to the tight side.

Thoughts on both hands appreciated.

Hand 1- Out of position, repping very small range. Only getting folds from hands he floated with air.

2 Hand: I like. Getting called by worse. (Better) Have draws to improve. Have position. So we can check back River with showdown value.

What do villains think of you? What have villains seen you showdown with on boards like these? When barreling, your image is just as important as theirs. Both of these hands could be worth 1, 2, or 3 streets with different sizings depending on your image.

Sun - to answer what villains think of me:
In both I had just sat down and hadn't shown down a single hand. I would assume that they might generally think I'm tighter as a MAWM in a black hoody, Phillies cap and vacation beard going

Hand 1 is sort of meh. I tend not to do this 1st hand at the table as I find it is tough to get many believers off the bat. What is your plan on like an offsuit ten, a heart, a non heart a/k? I kind of think the turn bet puts you in a spot where you are triple barreling 1st hand which is a tough sell.

Hand 2, wp. Through turn.

Looking at hand 1 - I agree as an early hand should have played it straight up. After I barreled the turn, the villain snap shoved and I obviously mucked and he showed A-A with A of hearts. I guess his way of playing it turned out to max value because if he re-popped it pre, I probably just call and check fold to any bets on the way the board ran out.

Hand 2 - Villain raised my $65 bet to $165 and I thought about whether he could be doing this with any big A of spades type hands but concluded he could be with hands like As-10x and I laid it down. I showed and he laughed when I suggested that I might have been ahead. He said he flopped the nuts (AQ of spades). I told him I had a gut shot straight flush draw and he says something like, "oh good, glad I took it down, wouldn't want to get unlucky...." LOL

Hand 1: Not sure if hero is in position or not but check/calling and c-betting on the flop both seem reasonable. On the turn without a heart I would just shut it down and not expect much fold equity from a pocket pair.

Hand 2: Flop is good, turn seems close and could go either way.

hand 1 this is spew. you're oop barreling into an essentially uncapped range with crappy equity, turn is easy give up

hand 2 I like this one much better.
