I think after you showed aggression pre and post, if this V is still raising your cbet, he has to have TT beat. He would most likely just call your cbet with a FD, unless it's an extremely strong combo draw which you're anyway a dog against and which isn't even in his range as per your reads. Easy bet/fold on the flop. Probably cbet smaller.

As near as I can figure, from what you guys are telling me. I should fold all of my range except JJ's, and 88's. QQ and KK don't fair much better than TT's vs most of the ranges that have been offered.

If we are folding the turn with TT's to such a small raise, we should probably just ch preflop and set mine...

Are we really bet/folding QQ's in this spot!?

I think what people are really telling you is that you can safely assume this sort of V is almost never bluffing you.

Your line of thinking here is how nits don't lose money at poker, because people still pay them off with ok hands even though they should know they are behind.

Flop: I like the bet, and the sizing. I think he folds a lot of his unimproved overcards. Now you've been raised by a "generally passive" older guy who bets "made hands". I'm mucking, but if you are extremely confident in your preflop range (No JJ, AJo, 66) then I would jam before calling...He will be able to play perfectly against you on the turn when you just call. 3! jamming flop also may get him off AJs
I agree here the most.

If your read on villain's range is {AKhh, AQhh, AThh, KQhh, sets, random slowplays} then you can bet fold. There won't be a turn in the deck other than a T you can call/call with even if he ships all his draws on bricks.

Calling with the intention of donk jamming or check calling on good turns is probably massively neg ev.

So how do you beat the old man? Well he isnt bluffing enough, or calling the flop enoigh so our agression will fold out a huge chunk of his range on the flop. We can bet here on the flop with pretty much anything and give up when he gets all hood on us. Check calling the flop is reasonable if he will bet small pp or AK when checked to.

Never pay off old man nits!
