V(BTN,2200): Middle 40s white. V is a very loose player and like to call.
V straddles on BTN, SB first to act. SB(SLAG) calls, Hero(1600,BB) calls $10 with 99, 3 more callers. V raises to 110. I put V on 88(less possible),TT,JJ and he just want to take down the pot pre-flop. I saw him did similar stuff before with 99.
Now, assuming my read is correct and V has TT or JJ. What do you do here?
1. Limp re-raises to represent AA/KK? V may call $300. It's hard for him to fold pairs.
2. Call and bet or check/raise the flop if the over cards hit
3. Bad position, fold and wait for a better spot.

You would have raised in the first place and not mind several calls, including the straddler. He's loose, so he's likely to just call and not 3bet. If he does raise, we fold.
As played, you can call purely to set mine. No reason to turn your hand into a bluff pre with these stacks and this player type who won't fold. Call and pray for a set so you can stack him. I also wouldn't c/r bluff over cards OTF. No reason why he can't have those cards. He doesn't just raise 88-JJ. Why can't he have KQs or AJ?

I'd probably raise myself w/ 99 the first time around. As played, flat and set-mine in a likely multiway pot. I wouldn't be much invested if I don't hit a set, as given our read on V ("likes to call"), he has us beat most of the time if he's betting here postflop.

assuming your read is true, the big question is whether he'll fold. if not, then there's no question what to do.
