V(2300) aggressive. Sometimes very loose but tight up recently. We played together a lot and usually don’t play big pot.

At raised to 25 UTg two callers. Hero(2100) 3b to 130 on button with two black 99
Flop(415):8d7s3d
Check check hero bets 200. v raised to 800.
What do you do here?

Very polarizing bet. It smells like a flopped set or a very ballsy bluff. I think I let it go since there are also higher pocket pairs that have you beat and overcards with flush draw have almost 50/50 equity against you.

I don't think calling is an option here since there are so many bad turn cards and V shoving will put you in a bad spot.

It's either you re-ship all-in or you fold.

Wouldn't 3b an UTG open here with 99.

Why are you 3b pre? Why are you providing no reads or ranges?

Not enough info to tell you what to do.

Start with giving us an idea of what he would raise in this position.

As played with little to go on besides he is loose. We have to fold.

I just let it go. We're either crushed (flopped set, trappy AA/KK) or barely ahead (flush draws with 2 overs have very solid equity).

Especially against a V who is playing tighter and avoids big pots with us, I think this is an easy fold.

Also I wouldn't 3-bet 99 against a UTG open.

99 is an especially bad hand to call with since we block many of his OESD bluffs.
