Villain:
-Mid 20s. White. Doesn't strike as even a semi-pro. On his phone texting away. Questionable plays. (Raised OTB with 99. SB 3, BB called. V shipped it in. BB called with QQ and V spiked a 9 on the flop)
-Has the hero covered.

Hero has JTs in MP and limps after 2 limpers. (Mistake?) Villain raises to $15 in SB. 3 callers including the Hero.

FLOP

K89 rainbow

Villain checks and they check to me and hero bets $40. V raises to $80. Folds to hero.

V is obvious representing a big hand (set, over pair) and most likely not folding to a shove here. AK would have cbet most of the time. Hero started the hand with $400.

Do I just call it down and hope I bink the turn? Can I also call the turn depending on the bet size? How do you guys proceed with draws against a villain who most likely doesn't fold? I mean, I wouldn't know unless I actually try to put him all in but the way he played two 9s really doesn't want me to put my money in with just an open-ender.

Raise pre. I hope it's not hindsight to recommend a flop check, because you are getting check-raised a lot. AP, it's an easy easy call on the flop. See what happens on the turn. High chance your opponent pays you off if you hit, so your implied odds should be decent.

I think JTs in MP is either a raise or fold hand pre-flop (depending on table makeup). I think the call after the other limpers call is fine.

If you believe you have no FE, then just call the raise. V has given you great direct and implied odds to call.

Yea just call. What's the issue? As a general rule don't expect a flop raiser to fold to a 3bet.

You can probably call most turns unless he really bombs it. Doubtful that he will ever fold if you hit.
