If Hero has AJo here it's a much more acceptable call; is that what I'm getting?

It's as true in LLSNL as it is in any poker game.

RP, what's your opening range from CO and BTN readless?

What would it be with no blinds?

It applies to llsnl the same way it does every other game. You are paying $1.18 for every hand you are dealt. You must expand your opening range in shorthanded games to make up this up. With no blinds, you should never open a hand without aces because there is no cost to wait. This isn't true in any game, but fundamentally is why there are blind bets.

Where did you get $1.18 from? Short handed games have reduced rake and even at a full table it's only about 30 cents per hand in rake on average...and theoretically you would want to open any hand that gets called by a worse hand even with no blinds.

In LLSNL, players will play with pure garbage for the sake of playing hands, and that's why it isn't a battle for blinds.

If you do nothing but fold, you still pay them correct?

Not true. We can open with 72o and turn profit against fit-or-fold players.

so, because we don't flat with ATo OOP to an unknown, we do "nothing but fold" in the blinds?

Once you do that, you'll realize it's still a fold and why the differences between a 6-handed and a 9-handed table have NOTHING to do with this hand.

In fact, your hand could have been played at a 9-, 6-, or 4- handed table and the "value" of ATo wouldn't have changed at all.

You're facing a CO open. Think about it.
Because it's much less likely for someone to have an Ace that dominates me.
