V(2800): Mid 40s asian male. Winning and tight up his ranges. I saw him limp calls with JJ and K2s/k4s early the session.

MP raises to 25 and V 3b to 100(QQ,KK or maybe AA) on button. Hero wakes up with AA on SB and 4b to 300. V tank call.

FLOP($630) 558r

Hero has 620 behind. What to do here? bet small and get it in on turn or all in on flop?

If the villain's range is really QQ+, I'd check, let him jam to force you to fold your obvious AK and call. If he bets anything less, then jam. If he doesn't bet, jam on the turn.

I'd bet 150-200. They're just never folding a big pair to that sizing, and you block AK - checking just doesn't accomplish anything here

$160-210 on flop......if V calls you can then shove turn or you can check turn and hope V shoves....if he calls flop and checks turn then shove river

I would have gone bigger pre to we could shove good flops. $400 pre -> ship 520/830 flop would be my preferred line.

As played, I like $150 flop -> shove turn.

$255 pre, letting him fold here is a disaster

4bet is way too large you cant ever have bluffs with sizing that big, unless sizing is due to villain having a static range regardless of bet size here

If he is the kind to bet for value in these sitations, Venice's line is perfect. If he is more a detective type who will consider bets a bluff and be more likely to jam over top, then the suck bet sizing is cool but also with a smaller 3bet sizing, you get a little more wiggle room in these spots wrt to bet sizing.

Also its worth considerin your past actions - if you are viewed as "trappy" or "tricky" or if you are viewed as "FOS" should help sway what your decision would be in these spots, play off the narrative your opponents may be constructing about you in other words.
