V(UTG+1,2000) Late 40s white guy. Plays a lot poker and goes to WSOP every year to play tourney and 2/5, 5/10. Very tight player but knows table dynamic. Saw him 3b with Ace rag, suit connector type hands. Also saw him winning big and locked mode that flat raise with AK suited.

He also called 20 dollars raise and than called my 3b 110 for HU pot with 33(150bb deep).

Preflop:
Fish raises to 20, V called, another tight player called. Hero($1500) 3b to 125 on button with QQ. Fish folded, V tank called and tight player folded.

Flop(297) AK7 two diamonds
V checks Hero checks behind

Turn(297) 7

V bets 175 Hero folds.

Anyone peels turn and see what V does on river?

That's just a particularly bad board for you, esp when 7 pairs. I just fold in these spots because they are generally underbluffed.

I raise bigger pf especially vs someone who will set mine big.

I still bet the flop so I don't get bluffed out of the pot on the turn.

If you check the flop I think you need to at least call the turn or else you are defending nothing,

+1 to bet flop, you have range advantage, he seems less likely to have aces in his range.

I think pre is fine, in position.

Bet the flop, you’re not checking AA AK KK AQ here

Was the Ad on the flop? Do you have the Qd?

I'd cbet $100 on the flop. He might have some smaller suited aces, but we block KQs hands, and big aces seem unlikely given the pre-flop flat. There are also FD in the mix.
