$2/$5 at 6am playing 10-handed. Most people are tired regs that have been playing all night. Hero is $400 deep and everyone else has $500-$2000.

Hero is dealt A7cc in CO
MP makes it $20
HJ calls $20
Hero calls $20
SB calls $20
BB calls $20

Flop ($90, 5ways) is Kc 9h 4c

SB checks
BB checks
MP bets $70
HJ calls $70
Hero ??? (We have $380 behind)

I'm always confused in these kind of spots: when to fold, when to call and when to raise?

If you call, you would have a pot size bet left on the turn.

Raise as default, if you call here, and MP caught 2nd pair like QJo, QT etc on turn, he checks to you, what are you going to do?

Flop likely hits the range of MP or HJ. Likely misses the blinds. If you were last to act, a flat call makes sense. See a turn with 12 outs and go from there. With the blinds following you after this bet it changes the dynamic. I think you have to decide if you'll call a shove from one of the blinds, if so, you might as well be the one to shove. If not, folding is a good decision here to save yourself $70.

I might as well buy in bigger stack and 3b with ace blocker preflop and go from there. With this stack size, GII on the flop as a default, folding is too weak.

As played, AI. Over card may be good + FD.

Pre - fold. The spot u find yourself in is b/c of the call. 80 bbs deep, and calling a 4 bbs raise with A7 is leaking money. GL!

This really depends a ton on MP... Any reads on MP’s opening range and range betting 3/4 pot into 5way action? I mean, if MP’s range is mostly AK, KQ, AA, KK, 99 (which it might be) - then opt to call. If MP can show up with hands like KTo, QQ, 9Ts (no clubs), then opt for raise to commit yourself. I think I’d probably just call in game bc I don’t think MP’s folding often, and I think HJ often has some of my outs.

Preflop - I think a call, fold, or 3bet can all have merit.

You have the nut flush draw with $230 already committed to the pot... this is an easy and automatic all in.

a clear fold pre.

otf, jam or call both have merit.

+1, esp to bolded

In general the K high flops following a bet from the pfr are pretty bad to stuff on

Yes, unless you're playing deep stack yourself. I will go for 3b 70% of time instead of flatting...

yes clear fold pre due to 80bb stack and 4x open. raise & call become options as we get deeper.
