Main villain in this hand is a young asian kid who's been at the table for a hour or so. VPIP'ing pretty high and limping but has only shown down winners so far. He sat down with 400, well below the 700 cap and has ran it up to 1k.
Hero has an aggressive winning image. I've been doing a decent bit of check folding if I miss the flop as the PFR (relevant for this hand). I usually only c-bet bluff when I have backdoors.
OTTH 2/5 NL
Effective stack: 1000 (doesn't end up mattering)
Preflop Hero on the UTG straddle with J

Two straddle calls.
Villain in BB bets 40.
Hero cold 3b to 125 in UTG straddle. JJ is way ahead of this small sizing.
Only villain calls.
Flop (2 players) ($250): K

Villain checks.
Hero checks back.
I can sometimes c-bet here to get value from single pair hands but not sure how many middling pocket pairs Villain has with his preflop action.
JJ is a decent hand to protect our check back range.
Turn (2 players) ($250): K

BB leads for 160.
Hero calls.
I didn't check flop to fold to a turn bet. Villain's value hands consist of KQ and sets.
But we also unblock all his turned combo draws since we dont have the J

Villain bets again for 280.
Hero?
Seems like one of the best river cards in the deck to me since it bricks all the draws and makes bottom set less likely.
KQ/55 still seems like likely holdings though.
