Looking for some feedback on this hand, particularly my flop/turn line.
The Villains:
UTG+1 is a ~30 year old white male. He's halfway through his second beer in 20 minutes, and his speech is slurred enough to assume it's not his second drink of the day. Unknown to me as far as playstyle goes, but I'm assuming he's a rec/losing player. Starting stack $195.
HJ is a 40-something year old white male. Generally the 5/10 around here doesn't run unless he's in the game. He's a capable hand reader, but bleeds a ton of money stationing preflop and on the flop (>75% VPIP). Starting stack $900.
BB is a 60 year old white male. Tight, passive, generally won't lead the action without a nutted hand. Starting stack $300.
The Hand: Hero ($1100) is UTG with A
T
Hero raises to $25, UTG+1 calls, HJ calls, BB calls.
FLOP ($100): Q
9
4
- BB checks, Hero bets 80, 2 calls, BB folds.
Not sure if this bet size is optimal...I was trying to balance with my value hands, but I might have been able to get away with betting $50 here. I think both remaining villains have a calling range of Qx, JT, 4cXc, and worse flush draws.
TURN ($340): 8
- Hero checks, UTG+1 shoves for 90, HJ calls, Hero calls.
I didn't plan out the pot size very carefully, and I'm regretting it now. I have little room to fire a second barrel here against HJ. However, I end up with the best possible situation, where I get direct odds to draw and can maximize my value when I overflush HJ on the river.
RIVER ($610): 6
- Check, Check.
