H1 looks good. ATo isn't a great hand but well within our defending range vs a CO iso from a non-nit. If we are folding this pre, we really shouldn't be button straddling. Fwiw a 3bet is fine also.
Flop is awkward but we can't really fold if he ever has QJ or KQ, river is a clear valuebet, i like the sizing.
H2: Raise pre to 80-90, AINEC. This is the type of spot we are waiting for when straddling the BTN. Beware for potential l/reraises, but otherwise we are just printing $ by raising our top 25% hands here.
AP, easy fold on the flop. V is betting into half the table on a ridiculously wet board for almost pot, we don't close the action and our hand isn't really that strong to begin with. I might consider it if we had the K
, but 2nd pair+gutter just isnt good enough. We have a bunch of Qx+, and even more decent to strong draws to call with in this spot.
This hand is also a good example of the value of having playability on future streets: no single turn card gives us the nuts, and most turn cards that improve us will kill action, except when we are still beat.
In fact, an offsuit Q is one of the better possible turn cards, and we still don't know what to do.
