Ran into this spot a few days ago.

Hero has been playing pretty LAG. One previous hand I played with V is when I 3b him from the sb w/ 910hh and got paid when I bet, bet, shoved on 7hJx3h8x2x. V mucked KK. $1300

V is playing really passive, playing small ball. Haven't see him get out of line besides calling off 400 pre with 88, he won flip vs AK. V covers

Hero is utg+1 w/ Ks10s raises to 20, all folds to V in SB and he calls.

($45) flop Js 9x 8x
V checks, hero bets 35, call

($115) turn 7s
V bets 65, hero raises to 180, call

($475) 2s
V checks, hero bets 515.

Would like thoughts on every street. River was interesting for me, I was thinking to small ball him on river but thought I could get a crying call from a lot of 10x.

I like a smaller bet on the river to ensure a straight doesn't fold.

Looks good, but I don't like the overbet OTR. Something like 350 would be perfect.

Maybe raise a bit more on the turn so a large bet on the river gets paid off when you hit. Sizing on river might be a little large, unless V has QT he might be able to find a fold. I think 440-480 otr might be easier for 10x to call than anything above 500 simply because it feels like a lot less without us losing too much value.

Pretty damn good as played though.

Yeah agree with betting too much otr. You are clearly not afraid of the board and dont know if a weak player will find a $500 call just to chop at the best. 2/3 - 3/4 sized bet is fine.

Also side note, you should proceed cautiously if your ep raise gets called, and you didnt hit a dream flop and turn like you did. Not going to say the ep raise with kts is questionable if you had a good grasp of the table, and i assume you did here by taking on the most profitable play as a lag.

I think you played it fine, maybe call turn to get more action otr if you hit flush. When you raise turn you are essentially ripping exactly what you have, a sd/fd and when the flush comes on the river I hate your large bet, 1/2-2/3 pot is best. If v is competent he will sometimes fold a T

PF raise is sizing is is good, but I'm not in love with playing the hand UTG+1. It would depend how much action the table is giving you though, and how mow many players are being dealt in.

Flop - Looks good to me, good sizing

Turn - I like your sizing here, I do think we can make a case for going a bit larger because he's most likely to only continue with a straight here, he most likely won't be folding a 10 to a single raise so we can consider getting away with a larger raise while we are free rolling the flush.

River - The river is obviously a great card, and I disagree that your hand looks like a SD/FD on the turn. Yes, it looks like a 10 is in your hand but you raised preflop, cbet flop and raised the turn. Certain your range is wider than a 10 with a flush draw. Be $400, this should get paid off from a LLSNL fish.
