2/5 - Line Check

Hero- 60yr old TAG reg only been at table 15 min not much of an image to anyone who is not a reg

Villain- Late 20s total unknown

effective stack -villain 370 hero covers

on to the hand 2 players post for $5, villain raises to 30 from EP, hero calls with AQo, all others fold

Flop Q73r (75)

Villain bets pot, Hero calls
my thoughts were that his c-bet was unusually large for this dry board and I didn't know what to make of that. anyway, regardless I had to commit on this flop or fold pre.

turn is a brick Villain pushes ,hero calls

if he has overs..well that sucks, Ace high makes up a good amount of his range here and QQ and 77 is just ****ty.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

I think the you have to fold, what can you beat he's not shoving jjs there or anything that can't beat the q, I don't think he's stacking off with kq, he raised big pre bet big on flop an shoved turn that line to me is super strng kk or aa how did the hand turn out, I think there are better spots than one. Just my thoughts

Anyone just puke fold this pre to an unknown that raises this size from EP? I like to 3b Aqo often but not vs an EP unknown, plus if I flat I invite a cascade of callers with a good hand that doesnt do very well multiway

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

Villain's overbet shoving $265 into $225 here, so it doesn't seem likely he's doing this with much you beat. What was the actual turn card? A 9 that brings a BDFD is much different than an offsuit deuce here. Probably fold either way though.

Pretty sure I am getting shown KK+ quite a bit of times in these spots.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

I'd fold preflop to that big of a raise from EP unknown. As played, I would call flop and then fold turn.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

folding pre isn't an option pre. There's $10 dead money in the pot, someone who's aware should be opening bigger.

I call flop, and fold turn.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

You only beat a really badly played K-Q and chop badly played A-Q. This looks more like kings or aces hoping you have one of those hands (and of course you do). Unless I have seen some crazy stuff from this guy I fold.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

Boards too dry for this call on the turn to be +EV in the long run against this type of player.

I wouldnt even mind a fold here preflop. Seems like a lot of his range is AQ+ JJ+

Seriously? Guy just bombs two streets on a super dry board and we fold TPTK? I don't like that 'completely no reads' thing - how at least he looks like? My games are super loose, I must admit, but this seems too much. Why would AA, KK or a set bomb the super dry board heads up?

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

Tough spot for sure, but there arent many ppl who pot bet and shove against a player's 2nd hand with air. IMO you are calling into the bottom 20% of his range and the price is not right!!

In reverse ... Huge question is why he would pot bet this board into a player playing his 2nd hand unless he put you on exactly AQ? And then what is he afraid of? With this not being reg on reg it makes the line even more intriguing.

I am not folding this PF as the raise isnt that big with 2 callers already in the mix .. GL

Heh, puke fold? I fold this happily preflop with absolutely no regrets. If I made it to the flop with this hand in this spot, I cry given the flop and action.

Re: 2/5 - Line Check

you're losing a large % of the time and folding preflop would be the best play.
