2/5 9-handed game in Venetian,Vegas.

This young white guy Villian has played quite a few hands since I sat down. He is definitely a bad preflop loose aggressive player with a wide range of hands when involved in some big pots. One hand hero observed:
Villian raised UTG1 with Jd8d, UTG LP guy limp reraised with kk,villian insta called ip. Villian called flop cbet and called UTG' shove on 9838 rainbow board. So he won $900 with trips from UTG LP guy.

Hero is a TAG with a clean image.

Effective stack: $950.

OTTH: Hero raises $20 with KdKc from UTG, 1 caller in MP, V 3bet raises to $70 from BT, It's his first 3bet 1 hour into this session. Its 3bet range is probably like 99+,AJs+. Hero 4bet to $225, only villian insta calls.

Flop($470): 9d 6c 4h. Hero bets $150, villian calls. Given such low SPR, I choose 1/3 psb and plan to shove on most turn cards. I want him to call with any Ace heavy broadways.

Turn($770): As. Hero checks with $575 behind, villian bets $225, Hero? Should we just shove on this turn?
What's our plan now? Fold or c/c and stack off given less than SPR 1?

go bigger pre vs. a sticky V. I like $285. Bigger pre narrows Vs range a bit more too. Would definitely expect 44 and 66 to fold pre, possibly 99.

I like small flop bet. Just rip turn...V should have no Ax other than AA unless he's a total fish. If you ran into 99 or 66 that wasn't folded pre then bad luck.

Flop bet is so corny and trying too hard to be cool.

I can comfortably remove Ace from his range if I cbet $250 plus. Shoving turn seems a better line given less than SPR 1 on the turn.

Small bet is literally the only play on this board after the pre-flop action.

just x/jam flop vs a player type that likes to see flops with SCs in low spr spots. hes going to connect with some pair+bdfd+bdgutter bullshiet hand on this dry ass texture enough that you can just rip it in and have big equity more often than not. also in general players like that tend to prefer aggression so I don't expect him to check back often either.

Pre is fine, I don't understand the obsession with larger raises. Hand is well played.

Turn sucks. I don't think I raise, would you get called by worse?

I am between calling and folding. Do you think he turns a hand like TT like a bluff?

If he plays it straightforward and the range you assigned him is accurate it's a fold, otherwise, call and reevaluiate?

PF is fine, more on the flop and it doesn't really matter what the runout is at this point.

I don't much like the flop action, but there's no way I'm folding on the turn as played. Call and x/decide river.

I'm not a fan of the small flop bet vs. this very sticky V who is most likely very wide.

The only reason to check the turn is so that he can stab and you can call/shove. I'm fine with either at this point, but probably call just to keep him in.
