AP fold. Turn bet is fine AP because the 2 is essentially a blank.
You might be right using online ranges, but when I plug in a typical live player’s flat range, Pio cbets flop pretty aggressively on this texture. You also have to keep in mind that our opponent in these live games is going to play very poorly and passively against our cbet and won’t be able to properly utilize his position to put us in a lot of tough spots. When my opponents start raising me here with A5cc or QJdd then I’ll start to check some K9.

I’m ok with mixing in some checks with our worst 9x like 9Ts, although I would still usually bet that, but I think we are failing to maximize our exploitation of villain by checking flop here with K9.

OP, to answer your question, K9 is absolutely strong enough on this board to bet the turn for a large sizing and it’s what I would recommend. As played I check fold river to this V even though it’s exploitable.

+1.

I actually did run this hand in PIO yesterday and it bet K9 for a small size at a high frequency. And it bet turn big also, if i remember correctly.

It blockbets 1/3psb at a 91% frequency, which seems reasonable-ish.

It also checkcalls 6% of the time, but at the same time it assumes villain sometimes gets to the river (and bluffs) with hands like KQcc, which seems a lot less reasonable.

Why were the alternative bet sizes to 1/3 PSB that you used?

I used 30% and 80% PSB on every street. PIO used the bigger size otr for flushes and boats, and used this hand 3% of the time as a bluff/merge(?)

Now you've got me kinda interested what it would do if i added a 130% bet sizing, but it's late and i've already discarded the tree. Maybe later...

Yah the reason I like a big river overbet is it looks fairly bluffy and we beat all 9x aside from A9. It’s admittedly thin - TT+ are obviously better candidates, but I think we can still get called pretty light on the river with a large sizing and I’m always looking for max value.

If it likes the 1/3 PSB block bet, what strong hands are we doing that with, to avoid getting exploited?

99/44/22/TT+/ if you want to near-guaranty a call but I think that’s leaving money on the table. Basically any hand Q9+ can be triple barreled here so you have tons of one pair value hands. We really don’t have many bluffs but the few we have need to go large imo to elicit any semblance of FE.
