That flop check is brutal. I dont think that is ever a good idea.

Lead flop and go from there. If called you can check a lot of turns, but I really see no reason not to bet this flop.

As played river is a fold, as there are so few hands he can be bluffing this river with. You block a lot of his bluffs. I guess maybe 77, 87, 67 could take this line, but they also have some showdown value. If I am V I am really confused on the river so I dont think I ever bluff it, unless I have something like KQ with a diamond.

I probably fold river most of the time. And, ya, bet the flop.

Flop check is standard against decent player. Against fish, lead of course

V repping 2p+ in a spot where its hard for him to have that. River feels like too good of a bluff card for V. Yeah he bet all 3 streets but for some reason I feel like you have the best hand. Plus he’s young asian. Maybe I’m ******ed.

I don't think its *that* hard for him to have a 2p+ here. He opened the button and defended vs. a blind 3-bet. All these PPs turned sets will do that, possibly some suited connectors and suited aces, all of which could have us in bad shape. That's also why I think bluff shoving this river is not great either.

I think our hand is pretty much face up at this point and he could have been bluffing with Ax this whole way and is now value betting his top pair. Or he has 2 diamonds.

What hands do you think he defends a 3-bet with that he is now 3-barrel bluffing with? I just don't see many. KQ is like it. QJ I guess could too, but we have JJ which is not a great hand to have here because we want some of his bluffs to have J's in them. We also don't have the J so that puts more flushes in his range.

I decided to x/c the flop because I thought this board texture smashes villain's range harder than mine. I thought he's the kind of guy that will raise the flop with a draw at a very high frequency (any 7x or diamonds) and it's hard for me to continue against a flop raise. It also strengthens my flop checking range to have some overpairs in it - otherwise I'm literally always folding after I check the flop.

I'll post results later.

I still think its a good fold. There is no way his range is balanced or bluff heavy on that river. You ran into one of his few bluff combos. The way you have played this hand he has a lot of value hands in his range and very few bluffs.

the flop check I think is good against a good player this texture sucks if we get x/r

that board smacks his range more and there a lot of turn cards that can put us in bad spots

no point in bloating a 3 bet pot we can pot control here and under rep our hand

I would fold river

what a sh*tty river card lol you snap so many other rivers as played

Just can't fold a pair vs young Asian kid. I think that's a rule somewhere. Drunk me knew it.

I like the flop check. Now if you post this exact hand where you led out otf and villain raised everyone would be telling you to check to get to showdown as cheaply as possible.

I saw the results but being the nit I am I am probably folding

Bet flop, because we hate majority of turns. Check AA, KK for balance. JJ needs some protection (as you see in this hand)

River is fold.

Also not checking everytime I have AA. But when heads up vs loose asian. Is definitely a good time to try it.
