$2/5 home game. I limp in position with 97 after several others limp and we see a flop which is 975

UTG Pete bets $10 and Gabe calls. I raise to $40 hoping to take it down but they both call. Turn is the J and I decide to check behind. I need to bet like $90-100 there don't I? One other piece of info was that a 10 was exposed prior to the flop so that discounts straights. Pete is fairly tight and will make an occasional play; Gabe is loose and loves to draw with or without odds.

Does anyone else check there?

River is a 3 and Pete leads for $70; Gabe folds. Snap fold right?

Let me hear some thoughts on this one.

Id definately have bet on the turn, you cant check behind there. You haveto fire around $110 there to at least see where your at, and id expect at least one fold. If you were discounting the straight in your head due to the overturned 10, you had absolutely no reason to check that turn, and gave up control with a pretty strong hand.

As played, I calculated the pot to be around $230 after his $70 river bet, so you were getting around 3-1 on a call, you may haveto at least see it for that price.

pre is fine. you can raise, fold, or limp here. unless you're shallow ~100 or less.

stack sizes? I'm betting turn for value.

as played, you have to call the river at that price.

Bet turn for value. Probably close to a PSB since a big chunk of both villain's ranges are draws. I probably bet $120 and check back most rivers.

As played, it's close, but probably a crying call on the river.

This. Also, how many limpers pre?

In a vacuum, turn is a bet/fold. You missed a lot of value from 98/78/diamonds/JdXd.

As played, fold the river. The tiny donk-bet on the flop is usually indicative of a draw. If he's really a tight player it's hard to see him having worse here.

Agree on the bet, not the reasoning.

Sorry - I had $500 to start the hand
Villain 1 had about $300
Villain 2 had about $500

2 or 3. I raise there sometimes but with this crew it's often lighting money on fire as no one respects raises and I like to mix it up here with a limp along some of the time.

b/f turn. too many combo draws to check. i might even lean towards a b/c depending on stack sizes.

I'm probably bet-calling the turn vs. Villain one, and maybe villain 2 also. I think their range is capped on this wet board - sets would fastplay your flop raise because the board is so wet. I think they're both on draws or TP/overpair type stuff that can't fold. 8T just came in on the turn but then they both checked to you, and one of the tens is missing.

Much of this logic is dependent on the skill of the opponents, but I'm not folding for 60BB vs. Villain 1.
