2/5 @ Wynn. Villain is a very friendly dood; he's drinking and playing the part of the table's social coordinator. He has given away information about his hand DURING the hand on several occassions. We are $1200 effective.

UTG+1 (villain): limp/calls
MP: raise to $25
LP (hero): call with 66
BTN: call

Flop ($107): J62

Villain checks. OR checks. Hero bets $75. Only villain calls.

Turn ($257): A

Villain checks. Hero bets $175. Villain instantly says "How bout $375? That A was a good card for me." Hero? (I have ~$850 behind)

He has AsXs (most likely holding), AJ (don't know if he raises this UTG1), A6, A2. All of these he is never folding on the turn after 2betting.

I can't imagine him taking the l/c, c/c, speech, c/r turn line with any bluffs.

Easy shove, just fade the spade.

Sorry guys, I messed up the flop action.

Villain donked $45 on the flop, I raised to $110. Turn action was the same.

Why are you considering anything but shoving? If a spade hits 2 pair gets scared and probably folds. If a spade hits you let it get there for free and on top of that are you going to pay it off?

Shove. Any jack or 6 can counterfeit a2, lots of scare cards can come, etc

Yeah feels like he has a suited A of spades here or AJ, A6, A2. I think all 4 call your shove and all 4 are significantly behind.

if we are positive that he will fold here close to 0%, and i think we can, anything but a shove is pretty bad.

I shoved the turn for $850 on top of his raise to $375 and he folds AJ face up.

I think the fact that he donk/called the flop allowed him to put me on a set. He also had the A, which takes away my nut flush draws.

Now is anyone doing anything other than shoving? Can we either call or click it back on the turn and play perfect on the river (assuming he's shoving made flushes/boats and checking anything that didn't improve)? Or did I just get the one player who's folding top two in this spot?

that was the main point to consider imo, if he is ever capable of folding this hand. i never thought he had much equity against us tbh since raising with a turned top pair in addition to your flopped nfd would be a pretty bizarre line. i think the risk of a scare card killing the action (or actually killing our hand) otr is greater though than running into the one guy who is capable of folding AJ in that particular situation...

You have almost a 1:1 SPR when he makes it 375, seems like the perfect time to ship. Any spade kills action on the river and not many players are usually going to fold after popping it to 375, so shoving is standard play. NH.
