Hero has 1300 villian over 3k

Hero bets 40 villian reaches for raising chips eventually flats

Turn 5d hero bets 95 villain flats

River 2c hero checks expecting v to bluff

That's a polarizing bet size. Seems like his range here is busted hearts, A3hh, 77, and 44 (maybe we give him a combo of 86hh as well). He's either betting big with a semi-nutted hand (hoping for a call) or he's betting big as a stone bluff.

There's only one or two combos realistically in his range that beat you, and if you're raising then it's obviously going to be a raise-call, not a raise-fold.

Problem is, you only get value from the six combos of 77 and 44, and I think we have to discount those hands since he didn't raise the flop or turn on a wet board. So I think the two combos that beat you are about as likely as the six combos that you beat.

I think this is just a call.

Definitely calling. Not sure what better is folding or worse is calling if you raise? He'd have to have 77 or 44, and not sure he's calling w/ 44.

(Please put pot sizes on each street in future hand histories.)

The only options seem to be call or jam.

It feels like it's a bluff, however his bluffing range is irrelevant to the problem since we win the same amount either way (he's never calling a jam).

So the only question we have to ask is, is what is his value bet range for this bet - Sets, Straights, and 2 pair. He's calling off a jam with sets and straights, and possibly 2p, but I feel those are most likely raising either flop or turn, so I feel the small part of his range that is a value range is more likely weighted to sets, therefor I think it's a call.

ugh.

pretty obvious that he had the heart draw, but to back door runner runner into the only combo of cards that could beat you is really bad.

Did you push over the top? or just call?
