MP is an extremely sticky aggro whale who has shown to spew off in a few river spots. To paint a picture he's a white guy in his 40's watching MMA on his phone, VPIPing around 60% and chirping the younger guys for "raising too much".

Below is a key hand that outlines the history between Hero and Villain:

8 handed, $2,000 effective

Hero AsQc in CO 2/5 live

MP (villain) limps, Hero raises to $25, MP calls

Flop ($57) Qs7s3h
MP bets $20, Hero raises to $75, MP calls

Turn ($207) 3s
MP checks, Hero bets $150, MP calls

Turn ($507) 2s
MP bets $150, Hero raises to $550, MP (snap) calls

Hero wins vs 7h4s

Now onto the actual hand:

8 handed, $1,500 effective

Hero Th9h in BTN 2/5 live

MP limps, Hero raises to $25, MP calls

Flop ($57) 8d7c6d
MP bets $25, Hero raises to $125, MP calls

Turn ($307) 3c
MP checks, Hero bets $300, MP calls

Turn ($907) Qd
MP bets $1,070 ALL IN, Hero?

Beat him into the pot.

Umm this is definitely not a snap facing a donk jam for slightly over pot. You block the hands he might be bluffing with and he has probably every flush.

I'd also bet about $425 on the turn.

This. Who cares if you lose to this guy he'll just give it back. Experience with this player is the key. There are guys who are all similar but still will only be 100% flush here and there are guys who could have anything. Impossible to answer on 2p2.

It’s a whale. He probably thinks Q8 is good here and is gonna feel like we slowrolled him if we take more than a second to call. He likely has all flush combos except for the ones that would have raised pre, but I wouldn’t be surprised by something like Kd5s either. His range is wider than flushes and we only need to win 1/3rd of the time.

Gotta call it off vs opponent described, they will turn random 1p and no pair hands into bluffs on this river all the time.

That first HH made me lol. In light of that, how can this be a serious question? Snap call. I’ve seen whale maniacs rep the flush before. They don’t usually have it. He probably thinks you have an OP. You beat too much of his value against your whale-perceived range to fold. I also couldn’t care less about the outcome of this hand in the long run as you will win it back from him or someone like him in spades over time.

Heck I’d snap with AA too against this V.

Oh man this is pretty disgusting. FYI I think the turn is a good spot to overbet. This board is a lot more coordinated and we block some of the straight combo's he should be chasing. I honestly think I go for $600 on the turn, $500 minimum. Thing is we're only getting value while he's chasing so there's nothing to size for the river here. I dont think he's even keeping track of the pot size and he'll probably call out of spite just to prove that we're a bad player if he hits.

On this river....... honestly I probably just flip a coin. From his speech to the previous hand I think he has enough idiotic thought processes that he could actually be value bluffing, and by that I mean he might actually think he has us beat with a second best hand. This is one of those spots where I'm not ashamed to admit I'm too much of a fish to lay it down, and that I'm confident enough in my own abilities to grind it back over the next several hours or days, whatever it takes, not to mention that if we can rebuy for more than 100BB's we may actually win a good chunk back in this session alone considering how he plays. Folding and being shown 45 or QT or something would tilt me for a week more than losing to A7dd.

lol @ thinking we'll "easily" win back 300bb from this guy, as if we're playing heads-up and not nine- or ten-handed.

Yeah, that's a pretty bad reason to call, but it is a call. I'm not folding a very strong hand in the absolute sense against someone who clearly doesn't understand relative hand strength very well. Doesn't mean I'm fist-pumping or anything, but I'm not wasting the dude's time tanking over it either.

We've got position on him and he likes to limp a lot of hands. We'll probably be playing tons of pots with him. If he's donking a lot and getting it allin with garbage flushes I think we can definitely make a comeback through him. These guys always go broke to someone at the table eventually unless they just run hot.
