hero bets $225
villian flats
River $860
5322K
hero bets $460
villian snap shoves
hero has $415 behind and pukes and calls?

i think b/c the river is pretty bad. youre actually really far down in your range and only block some bluffs (54/56/4x) and he has plenty of boats, plus he might find a fold with A4/2x bc he beats nothing that you are valuebetting, so hed have to think you barrel off pretty frequently to want to bluff catch with those hands, especially when he has so many stronger hands himself. c/c otr could be fine since he can bluff with 54/56/4x and may even valuebet as thinly as 2x once youve checked, assuming you are capped at worse than straights. you described him as LAG, so im assuming hes gonna get to the river with some of those bluff hands- against many other players who arent peeling turn with anything that needs to bluff this river you actually are probably best of just c/f because hes going to x/b most of his non-boat range just to showdown and bet all his boats+ since your line looks so strong.

As played must call. We could have possibly gotten away from this had we not bet 60% of our remaining stack OTR.
Flop I'm fine with the c/r, although I may still lead it for like 50-60 with all these players behind. Raise is well sized though.
Turn (as played) I would prefer to continue our story and check to V. The only thing V (in a vacuum because you give no reads) is cold calling the pot sized c/r OTF with is 2P or a set. Both reasonably within his range given he checked his option pre (53, 52, 23, 55, 33, 22).
So the board pairs, we just c/r the flop, I check to him and see what he does. He could check behind and we know we are probably good. He could make a reasonable bet that we can call. He could overbet and let us get away from an ugly river spot. Above all, we are continuing our Preflop and Flop story by checking.
As played I call and expect to see boat+ 80% of the time.

Hard get value in river unless someone has 24 or A4. Probably check fold river, check call, or bet fold small. As played probably make a crying call. Pot odds are too good
Not a big fan of pot control but if you're not prepared to either stack off or quickly bet fold, I'd probably check call turn

I have to believe he is raising sets on flop, so we're looking at 52, 32 and a4 in my mind. I happen to think 52 and 32 lead the flop fairly often. On there other hand, how does one raise this river without a boat. I guess he had quad 2s?
I probably play hand same way.

I probably lead the flop for $45 vs check raising.

The question I'd ask is what hands did the OP think the villain was going to call off about 70% of his stack on the river that he beat? How does that compare to the hands that the villain has that does beat Hero?
