This hand has been driving me crazy since it happened

V is a 60's Iranian guy who's probably 50/10/3 stats. Can get very sticky. Limps wide but will limp fold
He's mostly passive but will occasionally get very spewy when tilted.
Earlier in session, he called down 3 streets with 22 against a nut peddling Tag

***Earlier in session, I opened and checked a 724r flop w/ A-hi, and he 1.5x overbet. No showdown

5/5NL
**weird dynamic in this game; game is playing loose pre but very aggressive postflop with lots of raising;

A few hours later, V limps utg (700eff)
H utg+2 35 78
Only limper calls hu
Flop AQ5 (80)
V X, I check hoping to go for a delay cbet
Turn 6(80)
V overbets 100, I just call
***if v went for a standard sizing I was def going to raise, but such a weird overbet; This guy is pretty honest OTR so I was planning to float and bet brick rivers
River K [280]
V checks, Hero?

Flop i would just cbet anyway

River pretty dicey since people wouldnt put you on a flush here and get curious. I mean yeah pretty mandatory bluff here now, probably $200-$220

Is this not a good spot to delay c-bet on this board texture vs this V type?

OTR, what hands are over-betting turn that are going to check fold OTR? My thought was betting OTR looks polarized to LLSNL (since they rarely see other players go thin on scary river cards) and is why we can normally bet so thin here OTR and get looked up.

I prefer to play more aggressive cbet strats HU IP. On this board texture you’re getting so many immediate folds so i dont really see much reason to delay with 8 high.

I mean yeah not particularly thrilled about bluffing hero but you’re very low in your range and the K is somewhat an ok card to bluff than say 9h, at least you can have perceived KK here

If you want to bluff the river you needed to raise preflop. Not sure what your overall strategy is, but you said this guy limps folds a lot. In that case I would raise a lot of speculative hands like the one you have. Then if he calls cbet flop as it should smack your range way more than his.

As played save yourself some money and check. You said he is sticky at times, so don't try and bluff people that have a hard time folding, he could for sure have a good pair that he is not folding and is afraid you have a flush.
