You want to get in cheap and have FE if you want to play a trash hand with any kind of reasonable chance of being plus EV. The situation described in OP is exactly the opposite, it was expensive to get in and you had no FE.

hmmm, poker is kind of dying that's why i'm looking for new avenues of ev, this was a tough lineup playing extremely tight so what way do we have to exploit that beisdes looking for spots where we have implied odds in megapots? This is a line I would never have considered taking a couple years ago, but it's relevant now

I wasn't looking for FE after I 3bet, I was trying to figure out in game what implied odds I would need to make a call

not saying I called, I just got confronted, unexpectedly, with a hand in which the opener was extremely strong, like AA or KK, could not reraise pre, and was going to shove every flop (maybe not every flop, it is, after all, a completely dry side pot)

whether this is "expensive" or "cheap" is completely irrelevant, i either have the odds or I don't have the odds. As far as bankroll is concerned, I'm deep. I prefer to play loose and use a corresponding bankroll to my style of play. Believe me I've had much less bankroll in the past and this is not a play I would have ever considered if I couldn't afford it.

there’s deep and then there’s ...

I mean 250 big games vs the 600 big games

Yea in the 600 big games...anything goes.

You have to know, though, who’s huge stack is actually in play. We had a thread recently in which hero folds AKo pre because he’s uncomfortable playing deep.

Unless you’re just trolling why not post some EV calculations. You can start with the one in my last post.

yeah i think i may do that

right now im working on a spreadsheet but i there are some assumptions that have to be made, some of the flops will be Axx and he may check those which improves my odds a bit

rofl

If you really did want to 3bet as a total airball you need to make it minimum 100, not 60

But there's no reason to do this and its loltastic that you put another dime in the pot. Please come play with us

turbo mucking 60 to win 300 in position is something I would never do. Every hand I 3bet with has 20% equity vs the ranges involved

raising more because your hand is bad seems ******ed to me, why would anyone do that? I guess if this was unsuited I should 3bet to 120?

Be careful what you wish for son

done with thread but thanks for the replies
